  1. Until the summer at least.
  2. Spends half of his life shopping in London, don't we have any shops in Southampton any more.
  3. who was silly enough to believe that anyway. As many said, if we got the right offers then there might be sales.
  4. But even 3 years later everyone was pleased when he stepped down for Lawrie (not that i think he had much choice in the matter anyway) As the current parlance would say "he'd taken us as far as he could". Even when we got relegated no-one was whining about bringing him back (as they would be now) he was still Lawrie's assistant at the time and nothing would have been easier.
  5. was he in the Milton in 69 ?
  6. Not the Lallana that turned up last Saturday we aren't.
  7. Sam Allardyce ? Being sold to Venkys ? some pretty awful management ? I'd just as soon have a banker with little knowledge of football myself.
  8. Ooh you probably weren't around in about 69/70 but Ted Bates was not loved upon the Milton. It was always said that he only kept the job because his wife's money funded the club. How true that was I just can't remember, it was Milton talk anyway.
  9. well he obviously didn't sack them or any member of their families'. I'm convinced that most of the abhorrers are actually people sacked or made redundant by the club at some time or other, unless of course there are a few who've had their freebies truncated.
  10. Hey knitted knee warmers, his Mum must have sent them for Xmas. That shin looks like it's taken a few hammerings though, can't all be from one tackle, even if it was Wes Brown.
  11. I don't know anything about him though so I for one haven't said anything...yet. Anyway if he's had anything to do with Blackburn I can easily pass on him. I'd prefer a non-football man myself.
  12. What's wrong with Townsend just now though, doesn't play, must be injured I suppose.
  13. Sherwood is also saying he thinks he'll get sacked if they don't make the CL. Normally that means top 4 but if Utd should win the CL and not make the top 4 anyway (which they probably won't) he could get sacked even if he's 4th.
  14. non executive chairman actually
  15. No, as I've explained before there is just (seemingly to the untrained eye anyway) Mali International Holdings AG left. Now if you look at the statutes of that company (and my German isn't great) it looks to be set up to buy and sell other companies or provide finance for building projects. It's a pretty wide spec but it doesn't seem to involve manufacturing anything as Mali did. Now DMWSL 613 (nor 612 or 611) don't belong to this company, they just have common shareholders I suppose. Anyway at the end of the day what's left does not seem to reflect in any way the empire that Markus built, not to the amateur eye anyway. I'm surprised that none of our resident traders and banking high flyers has ever looked into all of that. They'd understand it in a way I might not and no doubt have access into documents that I can't see.
  16. I very much doubt that actually, they may be on the bench but they won't play in normal circumstances. Think we'll take it seriously and the entire game will be played by players from the first team squad at least. It's a very winnable game and we'll take no chances.
  17. No Bearsy, we've seen light from a quasar doing strange things in a far corner of space and comparing it to various theories tells us that we may be seeing a sort of dark matter web . I expect you could find the article somewhere, think it was published in Nature a short while ago.
  18. Could be one theory yes, I prefer another....we've been bullsh!tted as per usual.
  19. Quite a long term injury it would seem, several months.
  20. I don't know, I'm just going by what the man said:rolleyes: Then again I don't believe for one iota of a nanosecond that the situation was totally unknown to Mauricio when he made that statement. It all just falls into place so perfectly if you assume that...and being a person who deals in theory and hypothesis most of the time it's so easy for me. I see the U21s being bigged up everywhere on the OS today, apparently Mauricio is pleased with them...now what does that tell you?
  21. So then where's this announcement, can't be all that complicated if it's been done and dusted since lunchtime already.
  22. Isgrove, Mauricio was clear, we have all we need in the academy (probably because Nicola had already told him there'd be no money in January)
  23. If only any of us knew the truth (well concerning SFC that is) no thread would be much longer than about 20 posts.
  24. And Tim Sherwood is saying he'll probably be sacked if they don't make the CL. It's a watch this space situation. Mauricio would be foolish to commit himself long term until he sees which way the wind is going to blow. Seemed to be his attitude last Thursday as well. Also SBOBET sponsor 5 PL clubs, anyone who wants to give them a bit of publicity for their heinous activity is welcome.
  25. Perhaps she couldn't, Cortese was still running everything and obviously didn't want to sack himself. This is about end of probate or something similar, happened last August/September seemingly. Old advisors (and no doubt executors) done away with and new ones brought in.
