  1. don't really see what you mean there. NC was appointed by the late Markus to run everything. Something has changed and he's gone to seek pastures new but it doesn't mean that the other factions of the Liebherr family are any more interested than they once were. That's why the club currently has no CEO, just an owner who's filled the breach at the last minute.
  2. Like who ? There's Mrs and the two girls...the rest don't give a toss because they've largely enough to do with whatever it is they do with cranes, dumper trucks and freezers. If any of them had been remotely interested Cortese would have been outta here a couple of years back, not to mention last May. Cortese ran from his desk at SMS all of what remained of the empire up until last October, now what does that tell you exactly ???
  3. ah but that was the manager's fault don't you know, or the chief exec's or the tea lady's, varied with the day of the week..
  4. he was Chief Operating Officer actually, didn't last long, probably just long enough for Nicola to sort himself out. Think it was about 3 months.
  5. and just 3 points above the relagation zone with a f*ck awful defence to boot...yep they'll be fine. They have no cutting edge to their game, it all looks very wonderful but without Michu it's just moving the ball around until they lose it somewhere embarassing allowing the opposition to go Route 1 on goal. They also shoot a lot from a fair way out, it's pointless, it just returns possession to the opponents, that's why we don't do it.
  6. apparently giving them oxygen is a sort of standard thing, helps them relax in some way or other.
  7. He's just Jos with Jesus hair. Swansea are in deep trouble and their defence is the cause of that. If they lose thier next PL game Laudrup might well get sacked...doubt if he'd mind though, looks totally fed up with the standard of his squad now that they have so many injuries.
  8. He should have been sent off, that's what the rules say, two feet off the ground towards the opponent = Red card, there is no interpretation possible, if you do it you're off. He was lucky that Vidic had been sent off for a not so dangerous professional foul 2 minutes beforehand.
  9. what about Raj then ? Astrophysicists never get the recognition they merit.
  10. right, I knew it was nonsense the minute I got to Le Tissier being interested.
  11. Apparently there's another piece about a "Cortese Takeover" in the Express as well. Haven't read it though.
  12. As I expect total upheaval next summer I'd think replacing Boruc will be the least of our concerns.
  13. Not seeing how you're thinking there Pap, perhaps my history is not all it should be though. Britain comes from the Roman name for the province (where they indigineous Celt population spoke Brittonic) and they got the word from Greek I think. In fact I think that Britons from the roman province of Britain went to what is now Brittany and called it accordingly. Before our lads and lasses went and took over the place it was known as Armorique.
  14. Hah love it, BFS goes to the tribunal and helps Traoré get a WP and then Everton offer him better terms. Can't see why Everton would want Traoré when they already have Lukaku on loan though because surely for 16 or so games they don't need both and Traoré has only just signed for Monaco.
  15. In fact in that case you could say she's not been very prompt about the whole affair at all. Probably far more complex than that though, perhaps it was thought that he'd back down.... can't have known him very well in that case then !!
  16. Same as they did last time by bouncing straight back up I'd suppose. When do they get the Olympic Stadium ?
  17. which is being blatantly ignored by refs in the UK like many others. It was a red card and a FK in the D, the ref just got it all wrong as do many other GB refs every game every week. It's not for nothing that managers are getting fined every other week for their views on refereeing. They know the rules, they're familiar with the directives and yet there are situations in every game where the rules are not applied.
  18. Well seeing as they're a bit skint and couldn't even pay Raikonnen last season until he walked out on them for the last 2 GPs I'd doubt any Lotus FI team sponsorship for anything. They've had to hire a crazy rich boy cast off from McClaren or something for next season to make ends meet haven't they?
  19. In that Leon Crouch actually said so and yet Paul Allen denied any personal knowledge of the affair. Weren't we led up the garden path by some impostor or other ? Perhaps that's the case again, who knows.
  20. Well obviously we could in that most things are hypothetically possible (apart from Time Travel and exceeding the Speed of Light of course). Whether we will is something completely different. As I have no recollection whatsoever concerning the accuracy of Adam's predictions I can't really judge on what he states here.
  21. As you say certain scenarios are possible but at the end of the day (if any of this is vaguely correct) you have to admit one of two things. Either we did have plans to sell a player or if you consider Mauricio's statement to be the most binding then he doesn't want to retain Lambert.
  22. but Hufton says he doesn't, in fact the whole thing is contradictory. From what Hufton says we had plans to sell him and that it's he who doesn't want to go but that he might consider it if we insist because it's good money anyway. Looking at the various statements you'd have to assume that Mauricio doesn't want him here (if he's eventually sold that is) Then again perhaps Mauricio wants signings and there's no money to do that unless we sell RL.
  23. Once again in England as per usual where the rules are differently applied to everywhere else. Watched the game on Canal yesterday as per usual, commentator said 'that's a red card' the instant that Gaston was scythed down, they just could not believe that Brown got nothing at all for it. Said that the FA needs to implement the rules correctly because as there will be new (and stringent) advice to refs this WC over professional fouls, dangerous tackles, holding and shirt pulling then players evolving in England will have a rude shock in store. same sort of thing was said in the Liverpool game where Bacuna was seen to deliberately turn the ball away with his forearm in his own box and nothing was given, then again as Suarez conned the ref later on in the game justice was served in that case.
  24. No that's Mauricio's statement, the owner's statement says we have no plans to sell any players in the transfer window. The owners statement is incorrectly worded at best because it just doesn't reflect what Mauricio's say at all.
  25. I don't think he's going to Brazil at this moment anyway, far too many strikers are way in front of him just now. I'd say that Lallana is the only Saints player in contention for England at this time and he neeeds not to have too many more games like yesterday either.
