  1. Perhaps managers of the "big boys" don't do stupid things. Or perhaps those clubs are better structured so that the rules which are necessary to observe are known to all. Or perhaps they just don't get caught because they don't use juvénile idiots.
  2. I really don't see that Eckert is the only person to blame though. Someone above him in the hierarchy must have known what we we were doing and with a bit of moral compass should have put a stop to it. Eckert is trying to fall on his sword but the wording of the EFL enquiry says otherwise.
  3. Smoke gets in your eyes.
  4. New owners yes, but the bummer is that you need someone with a lot of money to give some of it to the current owners.
  5. Wasn't that the Carpenters?
  6. But apparently Salt knew it was illegal, so you'd think he's have mentioned it to Eckert. Apparently or so it is rumoured there's évidence for this on some WhatsApp conversation. The EFL will have seen that I suppose.
  7. Well yes, but there are also fines that go with yellow cards and the suspensions for cumulations. Some clubs fine players for getting too many cards.
  8. It seems that the EFL punishes clubs affiliated to it. The FA punishes individuals for whatever FA rules on which they may have trangressed. So I doubt any punishment already received by the club will affect the guilty (or not) individuals.
  9. Like it makes any différence whatsoever what we all think.
  10. I doubt that the FA enquiry will take very long. According to the media it was opened last week and there doesn't seem to be much denial on Saint's part. So I suppose it's just a who knew and how much more of it was there. Should be wrapped up before the WC starts.
  11. It will all depend on the outcome of the FA enquiry.
  12. What's there to investigate really, they all knew what was going on. Don't need a Spanish Inquisition. We might be on the wrong side of an employment tribunal though if the "facts" about making junior employees conduct illicit activitys against their will though. There will be a FA case against us.
  13. All depends where you read. Some say yay and some say no. Same for Parker I suppose.
  14. Parker? More than likely that he'll be at West Ham before the end of next week. Unless Spurs really screw up today. We'll get someone we've never heard of.
  15. Awful game between two poor sides. Perhaps two up, two down would be more appropriate.
  16. Probably, still that's a lot of empty seats. Perhaps they're still in the bars
  17. Two poor teams with limited fanbases. Doubt if 37000 odd people bought quite expensive tickets to see Hull. What's their home crowd, about 12000'ish?
  18. No no no no. Spying is spying, if it didn't help us we wouldn't do it now would we. I mean it obviously has some sort of cost And closing the curtains really, your fridge may be spying on you right now 🙂. There again if it didn't help someone in some way they wouldn't do it.
  19. So a bank holiday week-end with no cricket for Hants. Who makes these schedules really?
  20. I'd think that depended on his ongoing status at Saints. Was he being retained for next season? I understand that he is/was some sort of traînée
  21. World Cup no go, but you're probably not wrong.
  22. Wreexham weren't in the play-offs. I know that in France or any UEFA or FIFA ruling, we would have been adjuged to have trangressed and the first leg would be 3-0 to Boro. Then as the games had already gone ahead the aggregate would be 4-2 in favour of Boro, thus them participating in the final as is so. We would have then probably been relegated one or two divisions for systematic cheating. But this is English Football where several entities make their own rules and nothing is standard. In any other country City, Chelsea Everton et al would be playing, albeit temporarily , in régional leagues for their financial losses.
  23. Bookies know a crap side when they see one.
  24. What has it to do with Wrexham. They weren't in the play-offs. The correct processus would have probably been Boro awarded a 3-0 victory for the first leg on what is usually called the "tapis vert" and going through on aggregate.
  25. Won't get them anywhere. Before the match perhaps but now it's a dead end. The EFL make the rules and apply them. If Hull don't like it they should refuse to play.
