Apparently we tried, initially, to mislead the enquiry, stating that none of the information captured by Salt at Boro was transmitted or used in planning our game. I suppose they found some sort of evidence to the contrary from Salt or phone records and then we had to admit it, didn't go down at all well. Usually doesn't, cheating and then lying about it.
-
Apparently Salt was supposed to go back again the following day, or so say the WhatsApp messages quoted somewhere or other.

The UK isn't in the EU. In fact I suppose that the two german managers have some sort of salary based work permit nowadays, so perhaps we can sue the government about that.
-
Read the EFL spielge. At that time rule 127 did not exist. I've read the report, they didn't believe our crap, surmised from évidence that we'd done this with full knowledge from the top down and used under duress a very junior member of staff to do the dirty work. They came down on us like à ton of bricks because they thought we are a bunch of cheating shysters.
-
There is no route for further action on our part. Rule 104. And the FA will be all over this.
-
Anyway rule 104 seems to say, that's it and no further action of any kind allowed. Rules are a bugger aren't they. However the FA will be on our case, bringing the game into disrepute probably. Might even get some League 1 away days .

Not the owners perhaps, just the senior club personnel. Anyway Ekert doesn't run the team all by himself, he's head coach and that's all. There is a team of analysts, assistants et al. If watching other team's training is ok why did the Salt idiot wear an Eastleigh shell suit. Our excuses are just that, they knew it was illicit activity and did it anyway. Unfortunately they sent a minion to do the job. If he thought it legal why hide behind a tree, just march up to the fence and stream away.I mean in sports analyst courses at some tech college that calls itself a university, they probably explain the rules no? If the top notch KC couldn't get us off the hook it's probably because we hadn't a leg to stand on. Time to move on. Keep Ekert, did a good job. Sack the idiots that didn't.
-
Boro will win on Saturday. Hull really aren't very good. I watched their game against Millwall who just didn't turn up for either leg. With the VAR, I wouldn't be surprised if Boro don't get at least one penalty and Hull at least one red card.
-
In fact there is not logic to the stance that the punishment is dispropotionate. We illicitly sought to gain an advantage to help us earn the big pay day, got caught because we sent an idiot to do the job and now we've been denied the chance to participate. Bigger the prize, harder the fall.
-
Anyway, knowing the rules isn't an option. It's like the highway code, not knowing or understanding it isn't an excuse for driving too fast or running over people on Zebra crossings. Everybody should know the laws or rules under which they operate.
-
We have no legal argument whatsoever We broke the rules, got caught, admitted other cases and got punished.
-
We sought to gain some sort of advantage by cheating. The punishment fits the crime. If we hadn't got caught we may have profited from any advantage gained, might still have if Boro had to change their system in any way because of our illegal activity. Should have sent someone better to do the spying. The moral here is don't get caught.
-
So, in short, we broke the rules, got caught and have now been punished for breaking said rules. Makes sensé really.
-
Apparently not.

Looking good for the draw at least. Lehmann showing them how to bat. As long as we make it to tea with only 6 down we should bé alright. Still be bottom though.
-
Domingo isn't the only coach in question here. You have to look at Adams and Middleton plus all the auxillary coaches. Domingo has just got here, the rot is in the timbers since a few seasons.
-
At least Vince gave fair notice, he's an exilé so it made sense. Dawson just jacked it in between two matches, must have just had enough of it. We need a total clear out from top to bottom.
-
Must have upset someone's applecart. I'd clear out all the coaches and start over. No-one is progressing, most are going backwards.
-
Might not be any better. They lack technique and sometimes discrétion. Prest survived a tight caught behind appeal only to play a ridiculous waft 2 balls later. He didn't need to do that, it's rabbits in headlights stuff.
-
Time for the Albert, Middleton, Prest experiment to end. They will never bé good enough for D1 championship cricket.
-
Used wicket? Looks cut up already.
-
Notts won toss and asked Hants to bat first. Potgieter in, Yusuf out. Normal as hé looks a better bat in a team that struggles to score runs. Wheal back, Organ as well.
-
Didn't look at all competive in the games he played. Looked totally uninterested in building any innings and the bowling was mediocre, probably because he was being asked to bowl a lot on pitches that offered nothing for him. Good decision on his part.

Weather forecast looks showery all day today. Doubt if there'll be much cricket.
