too many sprinters with powerful teams having no candidate for the Overall or even Top 10 whatsoever. Watched today and it was just too boring, apart from the fact that a quarter of the bunch ended up on the deck at one time or other. Fortunately with a hard ride tomorrow and the Pyrenees on Saturday we might get away from this Cavendish/Greipel/Sagan borefest.

A striker from Barca is like a second hand car from an old lady, sparingly used. Will need a thorough MOT though,
-
so a total spend in excess of 50 million, don't think so. Damiao and 1 other. total 27 million, total spend 36 million (roughly)
-
3rd behind Fox, I'd be ashamed of that and work triple hard to get the Number 2 spot then.
-
Lovren must be a 2 footer then, predominant use of left last time I saw him at Gerland. Targett....dream on, if he was ready we wouldn't have tried some of the daft schemes we used last season when shaw was out. He's older than Shaw I think ? ah no,couple of months younger.
-
Forren and Lovren, both played at LB in the CL, both lefties.
-
just now we have 5 CBs two of which are competent at LB, that should be enough with Shaw and Targett and of course Fox.
-
probably some sort of dirty trick to encourage Cardiff to pay 12 million £ for a player who's probably worth about 5. did this not happen to us with Gaston ? Must be some sort of initiation rite to the EPL. You are not one of us until you've squandered 12 million on a maybe/maybe not player.:D

not convinced that Higuain earns an awful lot at Real so Arsenal probably won't have much difficulty meeting his demands. If you believe Marca and As he's on a bit over 50K£ a week at Real so Arsenal should be able to land him at 70K a week fairly easily. In fact he'll be a snip compared to Rooney who'll want 200K+
-
have they actually signed him ?
-
he was good enough for Arsenal, just didn't want to stay there and get paid in bottle tops and beer-mats. Arsenal do not pay at all well which is why they have difficulty signing and keeping top players. Italian clubs now pay badly except for top top Italian players which is why they also are having difficulty getting top players.
-
150K dollars a month is just top end championship pay. Would doubt if we have many first team regulars on less than that. works out at about 22K£ a week. 280K£ a month would be more than double that so I suspect you've got your currencies mixed up. Why would Flamini want to be paid in sterling by an Italian club anyway. Anyway at say an average of 30K£ a week with bonuses he would be an excellent addition for Saints.
-
you can cross Marseille off of the list, bunch of skinflints would never pay 20 million, unless of course Internacional were willing to take Gignac off their hands for 19.99 million..
-
who's that with Jack Cork, 6th image on the gallery ?
-
Lovren or Forren will be preferred to Fox if needs be. Lovren can also play DM if the necessity arises. Then you just have to consider the young players coming through. No point in having an academy if you're just going to go all Citeh or Chelsea and buy 2 players for each position.
-
depends if he want's to play or sit on the bench, would have thought he's had enough of doing that at Barca.
-
well looking at some of the transfers that have gone through I'd say that we're looking at a very specific type of player and of a certain quality. We could no doubt have signed Shelvey or Remond or whatever if it had been our desire, the fact that we didn't just states that we're just not interested in average players. Rightly so, we ended up nigh on mid-table after a disastrous start last season so what we have is clearly good enough to maintain our status and we're looking to buy just top players who'll help us up to the next level. for me we just need a striker, someone who can slot in at LB if needs be,although Lovren and Forren can apparently do that and perhaps a winger although that's not really a priority as I see it. If we just get a striker in soon it'll be a correct window for me..
-
Luke Shaw seemed to be hobbling pretty well at the end......perhaps he just always walks that way. Just the core of the first team group then, no re-integration of the loaned out from last season.
-
from ?
-
coaching staff = black T shirts Players= Red T shirts. oh and Rickie just has to get some new trainers, the coaches have Lunarglide 4s and he has something out of Woolies latest range, probably light up when he walks.
-
tbf Monk has been talking about a signing "next week" for about a month now. Perhaps he genuinely does know something but perhaps some wicked little bugger is just leading him on. As for Glasgow...he knows squat.
-
Free perhaps but probably not cheap. Signing on fee and nigh on PL salary. Would have been a shoe-in for Pompey if they weren't in the 4th division and skint. Brighton will be on it though.

it is also illegal in several ways. Does he declare the £20 to HMRC, I bet he doesn't. -

they probably also have the right to drive sheep over Northam Bridge and be hanged with silken ropes. You'd have to look up ancient by-laws. However it is just possible that the Council actually buy a certain number of tickets or that a certain number are allocated to them.
