In fact that would probably be down to supporting a team that loses quite a bit. Saw some study or other the other day which came to the conclusion that if your chosen team loses more often than it win you will probably resort to sugar and fat to compensate and get inevitably fatter. Must be loads of 25 stoners down Pompey way then.

from what i saw of the first half on saturday (all of it) it seems to me that Morgan and Victor can regain the ball at will but there's not enough movement directly in front of them and they end up pushing out wide. Now to me Chambers and Sharp are handy but they lack real pace and so nothing at more than about 30 degrees forward will be positive. Lallana is always an outlet but as he'll dribble himself up his own rear end more often than not it doesn't actually get us anywhere. This is why i desperately want to see Gaston restored to the starting line up because he has the attributes necessary to validate the skills of our midfield men. I am not a Lambert fan as you all know and to me JRod's ball control isn't always what it seemed to be last season.

I know, I went atrocious, reminded me of the capitulation against Fulham in the LC when they were in the 3rd division and we were in the PL or Rotherham where Bart put on one of the worst displays ever seen by a Saints keeper, Forecast included.

well I think that was kinda previsible; Won't make any Saints team at any time soon, still no rush for him, there's a loan window which follows the transfer window and he sure ain't going to any team where the LW is not applicable. ...Hmm having said that I'd have to admit I don't know what the score is on loans at Celtic. But surely if he's any good there must be someone who fancies taking a punt on him, just cannot understand his situation, not good enough for us but then few are but in the NPC there must be something although I don't think he exactly covered himself in glory at Forest last year..

you need to recharge your phone Trousers.

Thursday it is then, cruise missile factories must be running short on orders. Hope they've not something nasty in the woodshed that pitched up from Iraq in the 90s then.

but Southampton being a seafaring city you can understand why tow is more natural to some than toe when associated with line. only a mild smack on the wrist offence in the 1988 Spelling and Grammar Police guidelines...Southampton edition.

look I don't know why you are all arguing with me over these things, I've lived in France for nigh on 30 years and i know the law. Alcotest are obligatory but their absence is not sanctioned for the time being, it's nothing to do with Sarkozy though it's to do with reliability; Sarkozy is a lawyer, his family are lawyers, they don't make alcotests. Hi-viz vest 1 is obligatory for the driver, after that it's not obligatory for anyone who doesn't get out of the car in case of breakdown or whatever. You can get out of your car on a quiet country road for a slash and won't get sanctioned if you're not wearing your hi viz vest. It's more on the motorways and main through routes. -

Mercedes have everything that you need apart from the illegal refrigerating gas in the Air Conditioning. I did hear tell that you couldn't register quite a few Mercedes models in France because of the said illegal gas, don't know where they are with that now. -
don't you have to say vertically challenged in our day and age ?

clash obviously, Steely Dan perhaps

I think it's more a case of muslims not attacking other muslim countries, there is absolutely no reason why the Turks can't do this. The Turkish army has about 80000 professionals and 30+K conscripts, they are right next door, they have the aviation necessary but as per usual they want the non-islamics to be seen as agressors. The Syrian army is probably so fragilised by nigh on 2 years of internal combats that if any sizeable arab nation put their mind to it it would all be over in a few days but that would put them in bad standing with Iran I suppose. We need to stay well out of it, let them sort themselves out for once.

Still think we'll start Gaston and Ossie, need to get them clicking before Saturday, otherwise we probably won't score against Norwich.

probably need a new mascot.

indeed, it's a we'll buy your latest plane/missile/frigate if you show how good it is by going and duffing up our enemies with it.

which is exactly how I see a reserve, traditionalism really i suppose, when you read in the Echo that Sid Bloggs was going to be promoted from the reserves to the first team as a replacement for Joe Super who'd scored 90 already this season your heart sank and you did not look forward to Sat afty as much as usual. We had quite a few of those at Saints, scored shedloads in the reserves but were totally useless in the first team, what was the name of that fellamelad Les something or other. Harwood perhaps

signal zones and not points where there are radars both fixed and mobile. For instance that treacherous one at Blincourt on the road to Amiens from Paris, my GPS shows it up as being somewhere within the town (well it's a field with 2 barns really) but not at it's exact location which is about 20 metres before the town exit sign on a straight line with no houses or anything. -

no it's permitted providing it's not a stand alone radar early warning device, those are illegal. The GPS system has to be corrected (a ptch available from the makers) to signal radars in a zone and not in a specific location, mine shows up radars with about a 1500 metre radius or something like that. Back to the hi viz vests. No Whitey it's 1 per car, I think some unscrupulous purveyor of said vests has taken advantage of your good nature. Obviously if you've got one for everyone so much the better but legally it's one for the driver. -

As per usual they have to catch you doing it first. It's all a job creation scheme in the provinces, the habitual alcotests are said to lose their efficiency if stored at above 30°C and thet's frequent anywhere south of Dunkirk in the summer. They're obligatory but non-possession isn't sanctioned for the time being. On the vest and the triangle it's 90euros per missing item. On the Satnav, no that's bollix radar early warning devices are in theory illegal but if the device is installed as a driver security aid it's acceptable. You can find lists of the type of appliance accepted and not accepted but all those integrated originally usually pass muster. -
ah but for me those are first team players, it's a squad game as I keep getting told.

no just for one person who's likely to have to get out in case of an emergency. Mine's under the seat, never been used but quite a few ploucs actually drive around with the vest permanently hung on the seat. oh and by the way i wouldn't worry overmuch with the headlights, nobody else does. Truckers don't stick bits of plastic on their headlights when the cross the channel in either sense, neither do I. -
do we in fact have any reserves ? We have the first team squad, a handful of dissaffected players and the U21s who played yesterday. We'll have to go with quite a few first teamers if we want to be sure of avoiding an ignominious defeat, say 4 or 5 at least.
