doubt it as I do not contribute to his welfare in any way.

I'll wait for me ban then. Indifferent to the whole lot of them. I mean they aren't interested in where I go for my holidays or anything are they.

If we can't beat Palace then I think that our top 6/8/10 aspirations will be rudely shaken.

Strange that, was reading just now that there were 9 drownings this last weekend in 1 french department, down ART's way. I mean 9 people in 1 week-end drowned just like that, not even sailing or surfing or whatever.Just being idiots and not respecting the sea.

I think that you may find that integration becomes incredibly difficult when the immigration at the root of the problem has drained resources to an extent where integration becomes impossible. that's certainly what has happened in france. We were a nation with a really open attitude towards immigrants but now there is so little money that we just can't afford any more pro-integration measures. Our system of family allowances and the lack of birth control in certain ethnies has meant that our once generous system is just crumbling under the weight of immigration. It means that employment is taxed so heavily to support said system that companies just can't afford to employ people any more. Think we're just one step behind the Greeks just now; We've something like 11% total unemployment and somewhere around the 17/18% if you count people on short time because there's nothing else available. Youth unemployment is somewhere around the 30% mark. The French pay immigrants if they want to return to their homelands but even there there is abuse, same people come back masquerading as their brother or cousin and get paid again. Our system is not designed to accomodate the mentality of certain inviduals. If there's profit to be made they are first in the queue.

who said it was 8 million, Aulas probably wants at least 10 and Gomis won't go anywhere that Deschamps doesn't recognise as a big team. Next summer's WC really is a pain in the ass when trying to sign really decent players.

If AL had had the 6 penalties that Lampard had last season he'd (probably) have scored 9 goals . Lampard scored 15 of which 6 were penalties. Just a couple more open play goals than Puncheon really. Lampard is just credited with one assist as well. I think if you want a yardstick as an attacking midfielder you need to be looking at someone like Cazorla.

not at all, then again I don't know how many of his ex players fit into our recruitment criteria. Banega is an ex of his isn't he ? Perhaps that will come off some time or other; How many of his old Espanyol players would be good enough for us also, think the margin is pretty fine there. Not at all sure that Espanyol are a better side than Saints actually are.

wasn't he supposed to be going to err Ipswich

saw a few old Clios, 205s, 309s and Fiestas, then again that town is mainly Maghrebin.

As I said shops are far different in the 2 countries. Carrefour is about mid-range, they even had their own hard-discount chain Dia but they sold it off because it brought some kind of ill repute to the Carrefour products they were selling. Once again I think the notion of hard discount in the UK might be somewhat softened to that of France. For us hard discount is products of not particularly laudable quality being sold direct from their cardboard packaging on the shelves. This type of shop attracts a certain type of client and a sort of New York syndrome ensues. All of our supermarkets sell their own branded goods and their prices are competitive, if you need to go looking for Lidl and Dia quality and limited choice so be it.

in case you jest not http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/over-the-moon.html

probably why they're being outlawed next season, mind you I don't know when a golf season starts or ends, they just seem to play all year.
-
you mean they're over the moon rather than sick as parrots ?

I am not acquainted with the works of Dan Brown apart from the Da Vinci code. I'm in the sort of star gazing line, wife's a botanist. There you go you know everything about us.

But salaries are a lot different in Europe...94K € net is a lot of money here, probably what you get on benefits in the UK. The average salary in France would probably just about keep you alive living in a box on the high st in the Uk. Trouble is our salaries are punctuated at source by some woefully high 'social charges' and there's no upper ceiling, more you get, more you contribute . Your salary is docked 18 or so per cent before you even get it here and that's nothing to do with Income Tax which is something you pay later. However "hard discount" shops really are something to be avoided unless you have no other choice.

nothing, although the nearest is about 40 miles away. Local(ish) company as well but we shop at Auchan and Carrefour (cos I've got a few shares)
-
as explained on many an occasion I'm not a real Window Cleaner though. Do keep up Glasgie.
-
OK, we earn about 94K euros net per annum, house paid off and kids gone (although they cost us a bit from time to time). So we don't need to economise a couple of euros on cheese and apples.

to be honest Lidl and Aldi have a pretty bad reputation in France. Maybe they aren't of the same quality as those in the UK. Most of what they sell here is pretty tacky and of a substandard quality.

How rich are 2 normal upper grade public servants with both offspring gone from the nest ? I'm sure that you can work it out if you want. "poormarket" isn't one of mine I'm afraid. Heard from it from a very classy looking lady in the Citroen garage car park on her phone. Giving directions "tu sais face à Lidl...oui c'est ça, le supermarché des pauvres"
-
not round here though......Had to go to the Citroen garage this morning, Lidl is opposite, full of old bangers and headscarved women.

Newcastle...Pardew knows all the drills for lads in trouble with the law. They've abandonned Gomis cos Lyon want too much and will no doubt sign Remy....His case will be dropped as likely as not (after he's paid up of course).
