probably, the thing is nowadays with all the sports science, video perfomance analysis and those little GPS vests that they wear in training from time to time coaches and analysts can see exactly what are the flaws in a player's game. They then suggest to him what he needs to do to correct said faults and I'd suppose if he isn't capable of doing what's asked of him on the training field and practice matches then he gets farmed out.
