Froome looks assured, his team looks a bit frayed at the edges, where was Porte today, isn't he supposed to be the wing man ? Froome can thank the AGRR mob really, they had no real reason to roll apart from keeping their bloke in the top 10 which won't last much longer anyway and yet they did. Apart from that he could have taken on 2 minutes -2minutes 30. Contador has him sussed now but he'll probably win anyway.
-
perhaps he's like Morgan, wears his watch on his right wrist. Anyway he's in casual club kit, perhaps he has the Eterna stowed away in his stuff.
-
so there you have it, playing in the PL is definitely a step up from the SPL and Celtic.
-
I don't have you on ignore per se, just don't read what you post more often than not, to me you're Ernie Wise to Bearsy's Eric Morecambe

pffffffffffff what with the manager saying that things were progressing, the real preseason starting tomorrow and a shedload of players surplus to requirements the law of probability would probaly predict at least 1 in and 1 out over a 15 day spread. GS knows squat. Take Nostradamus, biggest phony ITK going, you can always turn events to fit his predictions if you're so inclined. Then there's the old 666 in revelations, think the CIA still run all world leaders and potential leaders through that old chestnut even if Nero was only 1 out.
-
well I for one am going to wait until the PL starts before I pronounce on that. Best signings are those who fit best into your team and get you results. football isn't played on paper, well I suppose CM 2013 is though.

back in the days when Brits ran fast marathons as well, Smith,Smith,Jones and Spedding. Marathon running is in the mind once you have the tools to do the job. If Steve Jones was running the marathon at his best now Kenyans would be back in the pack.

you obviously don't remember Douglas Wakihuri then. He wasn't from the Rift Valleys either but he was quick.

where's the shiny table though.

Prediction for the date of the next signing

well what do you know.. -

In fact Forren delayed the deal because he wasn't at all sure that Pochettino wanted him here, obviously didn't but it had gone too far with Molde for us to backtrack. I am somewhat concerned about who actually does sign these players particularly Mayuka and Forren. If Forren had been a Pochettino signing he would have at least got a game even as a sub to prove a point. Pochettino obviously didn't want Forren, he probably wanted Astori though.
-
Probably just spreading the appearance bonuses out in the case of Lloris. Aulas is a c*nt to deal with, will do anything for a quick buck. Why he didn"t sign one of France's rising stars (Corchia RB) for a matter of 200K more than initially agreed. Most in france think we've paid way over the odds for Lovren but I'm sure that he'll prove them wrong but Aulas is a man you don't want to have too many dealings with, buy em cheap, pile em high sell them dear is his motto.

moving for money is always questionable, you feel you're always doing whatever it is for the money more than any other reason. Also at that sort of sum returning to the UK on an ad hoc basis means you're never likely to just get on with making your way in a new place.
-
working helps, throws you into the pool of local custom. Of course there are those who are too set in their ways even then but it's often isolation from the locals that doesn't help. I've had a few assistants from the UK, most of them went back for one reason or another, mum's teas often were the culprit. You'd be surprised at the number of 30 year old blokes who are still dependant on their mothers.
-
I'm thinking closer to home really. I'm on my 5th country now and each time there are people who just can't pass on the pub, their mum, their friends,Sainsbury's and the Number 14 bus route.
-
Settling in abroad isn't easy, gone are the days of the country club where there's tiffin at 4 and cricket on the lawn. If you pass the first year or so you'll probably be OK but the number of expats that I've known who just couldn't settle is astonishing.
-
bet Glamorgan regret declaring behind now then. First innings lead is roughly what they lost by. the art of captaincy is losing it's way.
-
Perhaps Forren was just unsettled here, always looked down in the dumps, wouldn't be the first player for whom homesickness ruined a career abroad.
-
177/9 now so we might actually get a win, principally thanks to McKenzie holding the innings together for long enough to give us something to bowl at. Top player is our Neil. Oh and I forgot Tanvir.
-
why would the players have to leave, they know everything already.
-
Like Samba then except that he actually played a few games and QPR still got relegated.
-
Pilchards are small fish of the herring family, almost exclusively in tomato sauce so you could say that a pilchard is a red herring really.
-
depends just how good Wanyama is at CB I'd think. I've no idea personally but it could be one of the reasons we were so desperate to sign him cos to me 12.5 million is a lot of money for just a DM. However if he really is a utility player and can double effectively at CB when necessary that bumps up the price.

Adkins buy...same thing really. Totally clueless in the transfer market for top flight players.
