  1. Which is just as well because as I'm told were not going down we won't be getting any.
  2. you forgot Buttner, any player who leaves us with Fox as first choice left back for the sake of a couple of bob more from Man U where he doesn't actually get a game very often needs to rethink his civic duties.It's like running over a nun on a zebra crossing.
  3. With our defence nothing is less certain than getting to a position where his long term project can be realised. Two more losses in the next 3 and we're probably goners.
  4. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/28/catarina-migliorini-brazilian-woman-auctions-virginity_n_1922579.html the poor being mainly herself I think. Ludicrous really, 190K dollars for something you can usually get for free in most Uni residence halls in October...after that forget it.
  5. Did you put in a bid to sh@g that Brazilian virgin with the money then. some people have more money than sense, who'd want to pay 190,000 dollars to sh@g a virgin when you could probably find one outside your local McDonalds for the price of a Big Mac. I must have done at least 5 or 6 during my Uni days, good job it was free then.
  6. Well that sum includes the original purchase price as well I think plus all the outlay from day 1 up until our promotion to the NPC. Not at all sure that it incudes anything concerning the transfer of AOC and increased revenue in the NPC, getting us back even to the NPC cost a lot of money because our player salarial mass was enormous for a League 1 club.
  7. the question we should be asking really is how much our seeming lack of readies has effected team strengthening. Did we have what we needed or did we have to cut our recruitment because we couldn't muster enough to get the job done. Back in the summer everyone assumed that we could buy whatever we wanted (well within reason). If we needed to borrow to make ends meet then perhaps JRod and Ramirez weren't the best investments for the sum we had available.
  8. No Saints players then, in fact not playing for us seems to increase your chance of an international cap. Fox is in for Scotland isn't he ? Chambers and Stephens were up for the U19s but JWP got the boot.
  9. hah found it http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?11744-How-much-would-you-put-in-to-own-our-club&highlight=pledge
  10. this was never so well proven as when Saints were in dire difficulty. There was a thread which covered hypothetical pledges for saving Saints from extinction (as if that was a reality,Portsmouth are still going aren't they). The sum "pledged" was astronomic, maybe as much as 8 million £ and many believed that that sum could actually be recolted to buy the club out. Any 5 year old could click on I pledge 5 million £ so the poll was entirely worthless much to the surprise of many. Now if we couild dig that thread up we could all have a laugh.
  11. People sent Elsie Tanner wedding presents and turned up for Ena Sharples funeral, some have difficulty with reality and fiction it would seem.
  12. And we're still at least one CB and a decent LB short but as I've said beforehand, perhaps we just didn't have the money to pay for the required quality everywhere on the field, which makes blowing 7 million on J Rod and loaning out Sharp in the wake of it even less comprehensible. Unless of course we really did consider selling Lambert, which i doubt;
  13. as if that's very likely :rolleyes::rolleyes:
  14. Anyway you need to look at the percentage of accurate long balls to make any sense out of the numbers.
  15. Indeed, I think at one time Saints stopped insuring players because it was too expensive, that was in the Lowe second coming days though. Remembering how long it took us to get very little money for Howells (I think it was he) you have to weigh up the risk and the costy. Don't doubt Ramirez is well insured though. Think it costs about 500K or something like that, insurance cost was what stopped Beckham playing for Tottenham last year and held up the T Henry loan to Arsenal for a couple of weeks.
  16. I thought that Roy played for Melchester Rovers. He's on a million a week now though and is worth more than the entire Crown Jewels. FFS how many strikers are there that score 70 a season.
  17. Personally I think that rightly or wrongly he'll twist if we should lose again on Sunday. Just my opinion though.
  18. Little doubt about that, what is the point however is that the Swiss bags o money seem to be either temporarily or permanently unavailable and that the "no debt" principal seems to have gone out of the window.
  19. In that case there would be something about owner change on the Companies House fact sheet woudn't there?
  20. I think Morgan and Adam's contracts are up in 2014, JRod has it all to prove as yet but as you say Ramirez is on a 4 year deal which has only just started.
  21. Anyway "the estate" is surely settled by now, whatever there was to be passed on has no doubt been passed on and the taxes paid. Perhaps we had a fixed trust fund or something and we've temporarily run over what was available. Might explain why we didn't blow another 20 million on 2 centre backs and a left back though.
  22. I've never ever been able to confirm that, don't think anyone else has either. It's a speculative figure as far as I know. Anyone who has written evidence of that figure could post up a link to it. Markus was a private man and I very much doubt that this information would be in the public domain.
  23. Parachute payments and player sales, doubt if the loan that's being talked about runs into hundreds of millions. Probably more like 10 or 20 million which could be covered by selling a couple of players who'd probably want to leave anyway. Thing is though a couple of those would only have 1 year left on their contracts next June and we might not get as much as we might think.
