How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed? (Part 2)
Window Cleaner replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Thing is plenty of young English managers have failed dismally at the final hurdle and I'm really not sure that NA will not be among their number. It's a hard barrier to get over simply because the other 19 managers in the PL include the best of the best and although they may well have kind and encouraging words about your style at the end of he day they just want to beat you and get 3 points. PL football is about results and unless you're getting them you won't last the course. 1 win out of 9 is atrocious an I personally laud NC for giving his manager so much time. I'd have sacked him after the Everton game. . as for replacements I'd take Benitez if could afford him and look in the Spanish and Italian Leagues if I couldn't, maybe even try to take Puel from Nice. -
True, the real Sholing Sports died in 1994.
-
but what happened to his hair, that is the question . In the photo he's what 17/18 and now he has none at all. Is he a real slaphead or a wannabee slaphead.

Not even MALI I suspect, just straight up NC (who also runs Mali). -

These are per game figures although I've no idea how accurate they are, site seems to be well documented though. So 9 games at 50 long balls a game is 450 in total but as we have a couple of players who can spray it about pretty accurately long balls might mean much more than hoofing it up the middle. -

Have you never thought that Markus might have just simply left the club to NC in his will? NC now runs Mali with another chap Werner or something like that and Mme Catherine has been removed from the Mali board. I've got a hunch that the sole owner of SFC is NC, just an intuition though. -

A "good week's training" at SFC is probably the equivalent of playing 5 games. Plus we get far more injuries in training.

looks like Prince Harry

I expect the club expected to be able to move them on more easily. Trouble is we are said to be right bastards on loan deals, Dickson expressed himself on this last summer. He ain't going to play and we ain't going to let him walk free or subsidise his pay at Brentford or Yeovil wherever it was. Thus he's resigned to watching the game from the stands for a season and going through the motions in training, no doubt with the development group. Don't think he even plays in their matches either. NB it was Crawley Town, he could have gone there but as he would have had to take a pay-cut he wanted Saints to pay up some of the last year of his contract. Apparently Saints refused and now he's in limbo.
-
putting in a good shift won't be enough. We'll more than likely go into the game bottom of the table and failure to get points will see us tailed off by at least 3 points. So NA has to look at his walking wounded and calculate if any of the injured players are capable of giving us a hand up even if they're only 80% fit. Half an hour from Ramirez is probably better than 90 minutes from JWP or Guly.
-
What like Seaborne you mean, did we "sack" him, did we flip. Otherwise highly likely but you can't sack them for being overpaid or useless, same as the civil service really. If we could sack Dickson I'm sure we'd have done that by now but as long as he keeps his nose clean and turns up for training where and when required there's nothing you can do about it. Under normal circumstance if you want to get rid of a player before the expiration of his contract and you can't sell him you just have to bite the bullet and pay him all he is owed under the terms of his contract.

sounds like a team a chairman might pick

that's handy then because he doesn't have one. He's a physiotherapist not a psychologist.

Yes that would be an excellent move and far less harmful to the club. In fact I think I'll give NC a call and suggest it to him -
I think I could quite reasonably say that come what may none of the 3 players cited will be playing in the NPC next season. Whether any or all of them will still be with us on the 1st February isn't so easy.

the question then becomes would NA accept that as he has his own coaching team. Now to me he'd see that as his position being undermined unless he specifically asked for help in the defensive coaching.Crosby coaches the defence I think and it would be seen as an assertion thatr his work isn't good enough. -
But that's assuming you have a real PL squad with a lot of players of a fair old ability who don't get much game time in the League. Our problem is that we have about 12/13 players of something approximating to PL standard and the rest would struggle in the NPC. So when you come up against a side like Leeds who have at least 17/18 players of Championship standard you're f*cked.

Outed ? with a name like Andy Beal that can't be difficult, he's probably on facebook and not the millionaire poker playing big loser. -
Layers as in staff ? Now let me think who else have I heard that about recently...don't worry It'll come to me

Ramirez was obviously prioritised both in time and money. Now weren't Bologna saying we couldn't provide sufficient guarantees for future payments or something like that? Strange that soon afterwards news of a loan taken out by SFC against future receipts leaked out. I'd guess Ramirez took virtually all we had and most of what we could borrow to the detriment of other deals. If we could just get him on to the pitch it would help.
-
Even ultrachanger Wenger put a couple of first teamers into his side, just to give the lads a bit of guidance. I'm sure we could have played 2 as well, I'd have put Maya in at least cos he needs all the English football he can get plus a chance to work with Jos in match conditions just in case and one of Steve Davis or Morgan as captain and to set the tempo.
-
Fortunately so because I personally don't think that that striker has been up to much these last few games. Transparent against Spurs, West Ham you can discount because he was probably in a miff when he eventually came on and 2 or 3 sitters missed against Fulham which would have eased our situation if any of them had been converted. Personally if anyone offered us 5 million for him I'd snap their hand off.
