  1. What you have to remember is that the Islamic religion is about 1400 years old, at that stage fanatic christians were burning "heretics" (meaning anyone who disagreed with them) at the stake on a daily basis. When there's no hierachy in a structure it's a complete f*ck up.
  2. See, you're getting the hang of it.
  3. When my Mrs pays the bills they get paid on time, when I pay them the f*ckers usually get to wait.
  4. I think he's a decent defender and that playing alongside Maya takes out a lot of the tension in his game that showed up early on in the season. For me Jos is the problem and it effects those around him. He's too slow, too clumsy and his tackling against PL hotshots who turn on him is just woeful. He was pretty handy in the NPC but the PL is really something else.
  5. It's even made L'Equipe now, 6 weeks.
  6. Pity it's not a "public" poll, then we could have a good old witch hunt in a few weeks time.
  7. I think we have an overly prudent approach to individual fitness actually, especially when it concerns a goalkeeper. Few are the players who go straight into the starting 11 at Saints, in fact we've probably ****ed off more than 1 player by playing him in the U21s for a few weeks at first.
  8. In my view we're taking too long to get Boruc into the team, hopefully he'll be in against West Ham. Our defence needs a commander, doubt if Gazza is that as yet.
  9. As we see every week in France, the minimum wage here costs employers about £11 an hour when you factor in all the social charges. From that sum the employée gets just about £6 I think, all the rest is raked off by government and it's satellite henchmen. Don't forget that's before a single penny of income tax is levied.
  10. Well I'd guess it's because it now costs more than some of those who want to watch Saints regularly can afford. I'd suspect that hiking the OAP concession age from 60 to 65 has cost the club more than one regular attendee.
  11. Jos has been an own goal or a penalty waiting to happen since day 1 of this season, if we had anyone else available (other than Seaborne or a bunch of spotty kids I mean) then I doubt if he'd even have been on the bench or even anywhere near Southampton.
  12. Unfortunate to say but lack of proficiency in spelling is not confined to PO postcodes. Half (or more) of our posters make at least one howler in each post, the favourites being definately ,should of and incorrect use of there, they're and their. But as long as they get their message across I guess it's only academic anyway.
  13. not really a laughing matter when you live in France, we are overun by young islamic potential terrorists. If they had a job other than being look-outs for drug dealers it might be different. Trouble is companies can't afford to hire anybody because of all the social benefits that they have to finance to permit the young to buy drugs n stuff. It really is vicious circle that King Mitterand dropped us into because he needed communist votes. For every worker that takes home about £1000 a month (and that's about a quarter of the working population) from his gross pay of about £1300 it costs a company or administration about £1800. Half the nation pay no tax on their income because they just don't earn enough.
  14. I think we just might get a win or at least a point, not much finesse in West Ham's play, might just suit us down to the ground.
  15. for many among us it was foresight.Half the forum knew we needed defenders, Adkins knew it because he said so but at the end of the day we spent about 22 million on attacking players with no defensive qualities whatsoever and a measly 5 million on the defenders we needed so desperately. This is like many home owners, the roof needs fixing but they spend 2K£ on a big f*cku barbecue.
  16. Evidently not one where Cliff Huxford and Docker Walker kick the opposition over the East Stand in the first 10 minutes and the ref just smiles and raises his thumb in admiration.
  17. Lallana isn't all that great when it comes to holding on to the ball, I don't think his passing success rate is all that great either.
  18. Fergie was just a game away from "retirement" only a couple of years back, can't remember which season it was but they had a really rough patch.
  19. The trouble is that we probably have 12 or 13 players who can say that they are somewhere around PL standard. When they aren't available or have to be subbed then what replaces them aren't up to the job. The manager's hands are tied by the quality of the players he has available to him. On Sunday without Cork(and we don't yet know how he's going to shape up in the PL) ,Clyne and Ramirez we were down to the bare bones. We have a nominal group of 24 I think, including 3 keepers, when you take out the dross who won't get a PL start at any time soon and the injured there's just nothing left. In my humble opinion we counted on the young players coming through the system to supplement the group but up until now we've only seen JWP in PL action and I personnally don't think he's anywhere near the required level yet. I keep hearing talk of Stephens,Shaw and a host of other young hopefuls...I'm still waiting to see one of these marvels on the pitch in the PL. Once again just my opinion but tha academy products have lured us into a false recruitment.
  20. Give it up Harry, you ain't getting the job :D:D
  21. Now I would affirm that we have "lost" 11 points due to our suicidal summer recruitment policy. Buying go faster stripes instead of new brake pads.
  22. I see on whoscored.com that they think that AL's only weakness is his lack of ability to hold on to the ball. As for De ridder those that think that he'll get any game time this season barring a major outbreak of berri-berri or green monkey disease in our ranks are seriously deluded.
  23. Indeed that defensive reshuffle really caused us problems. Jose and Yosh is a decent pairing, for all his tweeting and cardboard box on the head organising Jos is in fact a woefully bad defender at this level. If we'd had another solution at hand to have replaced Frazer at RB and left the middle 2 as it was we'd have probably got an easyish win. Jos is far, far too clumsy to be decent at this level and too slow in his reactions as well.
  24. Went off injured at the end of last week's game though, and as Saints operate a mushroom system on information about injuries it wasn't really a surprise.
  25. Someone last week was saying that Morgan would be out for a good while with medial ligament problems, he was there on Saturday though. Thing is people make crap up and attribute it to "a good source within the club". Unless the player tweets info himself à la Jack Cork we won't ever know.
