  1. Said a lot of times last season and the one before that Fonte needs to cut out the quasi permanent all in wrestling. He's always shirt pulling, stranglegolding and bear-hugging.
  2. Seals were needed because it was a one off 100% no fail mission.
  3. doesn't seem to play much at Spurs, a few games last season and bits and bobs this.
  4. Easter ?? Christmas more likely if we can't do anything about our defence.
  5. Bale had turned 18 when he started actually playing at Spurs (only just) Had a couple of games for us at 16 though I think and the best part of a season at 17 in the CCC.
  6. I refer you to John Lyly in his 1578 work Euphues . This renaissance poet being the first to assert that in love as in war the rules of fair play do not apply, hence the idiom "all's fair in love and war".
  7. pfff..... the ideal temperature for sustained effort is around 12 degrees. Club vest and floaters, leave all the rest to the joggers and old women. Including the Ipod and GPS which are banned in IAAF competition anyway.
  8. I'm one, so that gives him about a 13 in 7 billion chance of being one of the others.
  9. Shaw is injured again you know, we're probably holding him back until Chelsea have saved up the 40 million for him.
  10. Was Rosie there as well?
  11. So in fact what you're saying here is that we are not a desirable destination even for players who "aren't that good". You don't have to be that good to be better than Seaborne or Jos the catastrophe. Hooieveld is a disaster in this League, the thing is that as we don't have a left back we have to keep playng him. I do not doubt that we would have beaten Fulham if we hadn't had to call on Jos after a few minutes and move Yoshi out to full back.
  12. Ranieri is doing a fine old job at Monaco, no doubt he is handsomely rewarded for his efforts by their Russian owner as well. Can't see him turning that in to sign on for Saints TBH.
  13. James Collins any good to you ? Available:tick, Affordable; tick Prem Experience; tick want to sign for us ; sticky one, who knows.
  14. No, but I think he may well be reflecting on some of the crazy transfer decisions that have been made since last April and finding others than NA wanting. I don't know the gent but I feel that if he was an impulsive sacker then the deed would be done by now, this morning perhaps if not yesterrday so I just get the impression that it's not going to happen at all, perhaps I'm wrong in thinking that though. Wouldn't be at all surprised if we gat a sacking in the near future though cos it's clear as day that someone is going to pay the price for our left back and centre half situation before long.
  15. Nope, if he's here on Sunday next i think he's here for the season. If he was going to be sacked it would have happened by now..or so I think.
  16. for an impact sub who seems to have about the same chance of a start as I have of being Pope....well enough said . Recruiter 2 words for you..... LEFT BACK
  17. The ratings that you get on whoscored.com are probably the most accurate, they seem to be based on some sort of attribution scale rather than what a reporter sees (or thinks he sees)
  18. Well I think we'll get something against Spurs, they're not all that great at the back and we're a lot better in the second game after an IB than we are in the first.Last time it was a 6-1 trouncing at the Arse then the win against Villa, this time West Ham then Spurs. I think if you look back over the last say 5 years or so you'll find that we get thumped after nearly every IB.
  19. But surely a "bust up" shouldn't effect professional decisions unless they concern sticking to game instructions or personal fitness issues.
  20. Didn't he get injured in an U21 game a while back?
  21. It is absolutely pointless putting up teams without Rodriguez in them, he'll always start in front of Punch or Mayuka unless he's taken over Rickie's role again.
  22. Plus I think you can equate the odd world cup or two and a bit of Champion's League experience to Premiership Experience. Now where Chelsea have really erred is by paying loads of money for young no-marks like Lukaku
  23. We are always crap after international breaks, think we train too hard and get over complacent from the fact that we can deal with our own players.
  24. I thought that, thought that Everton looked distinctly average without Fellaini as well. 2 old centre backs though, I'm sure that there's a lesson to be learned there somewhere.
  25. Isn't he in Turkey now ?
