  1. the only circumstance in which it can go to head to head is if GD is equal and goals scored are equal. The current figures are: GD Saints +35 West Ham 32 GS Saints 81 West Ham 79 you just have to factor in the various possibilities and see if it's still all square for both of these figures. So for Saints 2-2, West Ham would need to score 4 goals and win by 3 for the GD and the GS to remain equal. You can work out all the scenarios that would provoke comparison of HTH results.
  2. Would he still get sacked if he took you along instead of his wife ?? You sure that he isn't pulling your plonker about this?
  3. there think that's right
  4. doubt if he's even still here.Maybe we're saving him for the play-offs that we won't be in.
  5. Look you've got to get this straight. Our midfield players can all run with the ball,Morgan,Cork,Hammond,Lallana,Guly,Chaplow, all of them. Our management don't want them to run with the ball unless they're in certain positions. We seem to have this Barcelona fixation of pass and move, not running the ball.Let Chelsea kick their ass tonight, perhaps our system will change. It's the manager that makes the playing system not the players, they just do as they're asked.
  6. Perhaps he knew that people would be expecting him to play with an injury again whereas if we'd won he'd be on some well needed R+R with just a trot out for the last 10 minutes to salute the crowd.Perhaps he's like me,seeing wasted chances every match just p*sses him off.Not to mention awful refereeing.
  7. not sure that Saints use that policy any more.We should be well capable of beating Coventry without AL.
  8. No it isn't it's a multi-million £/annum business.Football games are now only played on public recreation grounds .
  9. Early kick-off though, depends what time the Woodentopps or Magic Roundabout start I guess. Some people used to leave early to be home in time for Dr Who.Too many very young kids at football nowadays.
  10. Where we've come unstuck in the last 6 games is against opposition with something to play for. Blackpool and Boro, Play-off place Reading-Promotion and Title Portsmouth...well you know a 100 years or so of local rivalry. Just can't see Coventry causing us any problems unless it's for one last NPC swansong.
  11. OK with Guly being the hero, not in stoppage time though,he'll probably start so whether he'd still be on after 90 minutes is sort of debateable. Think Fonte will open the scoring myself.
  12. West Ham's fans may well actually believe they are capable of winning the play-offs as well.Don't know if I'd be that confident about Saints in the play-offs though. We may well turn up trumps but a lot of our players look pretty sh@gged out and we've nothing much in reserve to fall back on.
  13. except just the once.Bristol at home, Brighton away.
  14. Against his old club, my what a surprise.Fonte is a decent player but he's been hugging and holding on the sly ever since he's been here.Only needs a ref who thinks/knows that that's foul play for him to give away free kicks and penalties. Unless he can adjust his game to cut that out completely he has no future in the PL.
  15. Only maths needed Saints:Lots of goals - Coventry:not so many. Won't be any more complicated than that.
  16. of course, I've watched all of the games of late, maybe I should stop doing that as we lose every time. Just go to firstrowsports.eu, download their thingummyjig and tune in.Could be on L'Equipe at 4 though, doubt if they'll turn their programme schedule upside down to put us on live at 13.30 though, someone would get upset about not seeing club Rugby,US College basketball or Roustan and Mendes argueing about the OM.
  17. I do not doubt this, hope Nigel puts the right side out though.Didn't think much of last Saturday's,cannot see why we keep playing Butterfield, don't much rate Chaplow either but he did play quite well apart from those vital moments when he actually needed to control the ball of course.
  18. Dear oh dear, a bit of tension is an excuse for turning into a neanderthal nowadays. How would all these people hold up in a real time of crisis. Don't encourage them Alps, they don't need much you know.
  19. No drought, just that they use more water per person than any other European nation, always washing the car and watering the lawn.
  20. Saturday will not be postponed no, it comes between Friday and Sunday come what may.
  21. if it's 12K a week he won't have any difficulty getting another club, especially if he'd be on a free.
  22. As we have found out twice this season to our disadvantage
  23. But then why did Leeds bother at Cardiff or Palarse at Reading?? A team always has something to prove if it's only for themselves. That said you do get teams who just don't turn up, like Palace when we played them or Brighton when they got smashed by West Ham.
  24. Bet they think they'll walk the NPC....
