Not having the benefit of seeing the match it's just a supposition but could the pitch have been doctored in the mid section and left dryer on the wings where it's known that we don't play much generally and even less with Butterfield in the side?

whenever a side has wingers that know roughly what they're doing we struggle.Our full backs aren't good enough defensively and the midfield has to help them out thus detracting from their own role. I mentioned this in the build up thread and of course got regally slagged off.Perhaps it would have been a bit different if we'd had Frazer available but playing Butterfield against Ince and Phillips who are interchageable was frankly suicidal.No doubt Chaplow was drafted in to help on that side but as his tackling is horrendous and he has no pace it didn't help very much.De Ridder has few defensive qualities so all in all the cards were always going to be stacked against us once Butterfield was in the side.

let's face it with a player like Diouf in your side you're bound to create a few chances. Diouf is a **** but if he turns up he's a pretty dangerous player.

Sharp would have been the appointed penalty taker, Nigel probably thinks he's the bee's bolloaks still and he no doubt scored plenty of penalties when he was at Scunny.

he's certainly not a CM, can't tackle cleanly,when he was playing in CM he racked up a card nearly every match.Survived a few that should have seen him sent off as well.
