Put it this way, it wouldn't persuade me into thinking that the player who scored it and had 1 more goal on his counter was a better striker than one with the same number less this one.

Well perhaps not quite 5 yards, looked at it on the highlights, there's a lot of contact between Frazer and the Bees player, some of it in the box, some of it outside, really difficult to say which one brought him to ground in the end, suspect it's Frazer taking his trailing foot though which might have been an inch inside or a couple outside.

The Americans call those "Goddess Evenings", ran into one of them in New York once when dining in The Jockey Club, my are those gals big.Make Serena Williams look like a 5 year old kid..
-
Perhaps positionally more adept, mind you having seen Martin charging about like a blue arsed fly in the left back position, waving goodbye to Millwall players with his legs on Tuesday it might not be such a bad solution.

I expect Fish is a (friend) of his......

How so? Are you saying that this is actually likely to happen?
-
Well then you're obviously wrong, the FA have said that they prefer an English or British manager. Harry will be offered the job and he'll probably take it. He'll do well because he understands the mentality of the English player and the English fan.

dad bringing his son up as a drunken thug shocker.

this is what I keep trying to tell them Derry, without our habitual CB partnership the launch pad for the build up isn't there. When it was last possible,Palace at home, things weren't too bad.Since then one of the CMs has had to cover the bad positioning of the CBs almost all of the time.

When it's a team like Millwall it should go down as Cruelty to Children.
-
Why so ?? Half of Basingstoke and Andover residents are Londoners shipped out when London cleared it's East End. et not many of them support Millwall though....West Ham maybe.
-
Not struggling really, just bemused, I mean I could see them supporting Pompey or Arse or Chelsea but Millwall?? Guess they have some sort of tie to the place, shipped out on some London overspill plan perhaps.
-
Well you need to score for it to be "a good finish". Guly is much maligned, really don't understand why, we'd be right in the crapper without his goals this season.
-
You know when you're in a tight 0-0 away at Birmingham 1 good finish is worth the other 92 minutes of crapness.
-
Well I hope he's back on Saturday then, with José in the middle at the back.

Reeves goal looks offside because the pass for it comes from Barnard who's a mile off. The linesman flagged before the ball got to Reeves Anyway Adkins was laying into the team because HE wanted to win and thought that they'd not done enough. Not acceptable are his words to describe the defending. Thought we'd lose when I saw the team but as you say it's the Cup and it means nothing to me for this season.

If I remember correctly we were offering agents some pretty big incentives to shift our high earning underacheivers in our administration season or the one before it. If a player is on say 15K a week and doing absolutely sod all then it's in your interest to offer incentive to be shot of him. If you have to pay a 100K bonus to rid yourself of 400/500K salary + charges to a non-contributor then you'll do it.

Why would what's obviously a father and son living in Bitterne be Millwall fans??
-
As you say there are many reasons but one of the most vital is constantly being ignored. CB injuries Jose 25 league games 13 wins Jos 22 league games 11 wins Aarron 8 league games 2 wins We needed a CB in the window, Martin has time on his side but we need a top man now if this Jos.Jose alternance on injuries is going to go on.

In fact MLT scored about 1 in 5 of his goals from the spot, RL must be up around 1 in 3. MLT wasn't a mainline strike forward either.

How so, pfc's figures show that they made an overall profit, how did that contribute to their massive losses, easy answer it didn't. When your revenues decrease you have to sell assets to boost the balances and lower salarial mass,Harry did that for them. Portsmouth's cash problems are structural and certainly don't come from transfer dealings because at the end of the day they made money from that sector.Their problem seems to be that each new owner just takes on the debt of his predecessor and is always looking for payback, they are bound to lose money because they don't have enough fans to support whatever it is they're trying to do.
-
Now it would seem to me that Harry's commission was on profits on sales and not total sales.5% on 13 million profit would be about 500K or so, not 5.65 million.

[quote=Lazlo78;1268391 Would you find it to be ok if Adkins currently was on a similar deal? IMHO, such a deal would cast a shade of doubt over every transfer about who's the real beneficiary. Wouldn't worry me at all. Football clubs are businesses just like any other. If you've got a competent manager who can make you a few bob by selling players that he no longer wants then he deserves to share in the spoils. Harry Rednapp is a good football manager, more fool us for ****ing him off and not letting him do his job in the only way he knows. Rupert must have taken a few bob from transfers as well mustn't he,in dividends and the like.

Our front line has been shut down. Before Bristol City away 40 goals in 17 games Since 11 goals in 12 games Before Bristol City 5 penalties, after Bristol city 1 penalty. Looks like they've all caught on to that as well. this is all you need to know.

Anyway, we need to stop criticising all and sundry for this and that and turn our attention to the sharp end. Our strikers aren't scoring much and therein lies our problem. We have obtained 2 new strikers this window so maybe we will turn the corner. Football is about 1 thing, converting chances and we aren't doing that. Those who remember our relegation season with the Dutch duo may recall that before the situation got totally hopeless we made a lot of chances that would have won us matches and points and missed them all.We just couldn't score for toffee, even missed 2 penalties at Watford. When we start scoring from 25% of our chances again things will look up. And might I just add once again over 1/3 of Lambert's league goals have come from penalties...some of them very iffy ones at that.
