The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..
Window Cleaner replied to SB's topic in The Saints
Have any of them ever happened? -
competition for places?
-
Not so bad, seems to have dropped back into a more central role, mainly because Ramsey is so dire I guess. Wenger must be going crazy, all that money from sales last summer and he still has to play a CB at LB and a CB (not a very good one at that) at RB.
-
Guess we'll get to see Falqué then.

Be interesting to see how long it takes Abe to move back the other way, mind you J League doesn't start for a couple of months yet. -
Cardiff level...
-
If the scores stay the way they are I won't mind at all. 1st or 2nd is all the same to me, I'm not proud.
-
We must be buying all of those then.
-
You never know Forest might get a bit of good fortune,if only they could get an early goal to boost their confidence. They have some good players who might get back into the rythm if they could just get a break.I mean if Jos hadn't blocked that shot last week who knows what might have happened.
-
I'd wager that some who seem desperate to blow 8 million on Hooper complain about parking fees and the ticket tax.
-
Will probably be a decent turnout because this is the first of the games that are covered by the "Final 10" tickets that sold pretty well.
-
replace Bale with Lallana...yer 'avin a larf.

TL's probably totally miffed because of the non-consideration he's gotten from fans on this forum, well if he could read English that is.I mean if I was just signing for Saints as an international striker and looked in and read 30 pages about Hooper,Sharp and Maynard I'd think WTF as well, cos I'd not be sure that I'd ever get a game. -
Saints strikers roll call Connolly...present Guly.....present De Ridder ...present Lambert.....present after the next match, all patched up and rested Lee.....soon to be present Barnard....seen in training today Forte...........present'ish Reeves......present 8 strikers and we were taking the **** out of West Ham cos they've got 7.
-
Well some seemed to believe that we would actually and eventually bid 8 million £ or so. Do they not know us? I mean you only have to look back to the summer and remember that we didn't meet Swindon's asking price of 1.8 million £ for Austin and if you read some blogs we offered a measly 200K+add ons for CMS whilst exacting 12 million £ for AOC. So if they were silly enough to think that we'd meet an elevated asking price for Hooper that can only go down as self-inflicted suffering.
-
But we've signed Tadanari Lee, can't be any worse than Jonno Quick although some say that his ball control leaves much to be desired. Then there's Falque, may be a good loan signing there.
-
Why should they, they're just 3 points from the play-off places with a pretty clement looking run-in. Probably why they've signed McQuoid on loan as well, isn't Austin injured just now?
-
Promised to be that way when the(reported) price started going up on a daily basis.Just another one to add to the long list of strikers we didn't sign, mainly because we don't pay that sort of money as yet.
-
Not really, it's just Eddie collecting up all his old boys.
-
It won't happen,Cork needs to be on the pitch from the start for 2 reasons/ a) he's a great player, well drilled in Saints tactical schema; b) he's utilisable at CB if needs be. Falque will get maybe 15/20 minutes if he's fit enough and if we need him.

Nonsense, they'd make a formidable nightshift at the Samaritans...Dirty Harry style....you want to top yourself...go ahead make my day. -
How can you play centre mid if you can't tackle, you can't read the game and you can't choose the best option 9 times out of 10. Your friend must be a Pompey fan.
-
What's to make out, you get a card (or one to use as a key fob) you buy stuff from HMV in store or online, you get points, you trade points for stuff which is apparently crap. Got one of those cards from every supermarket chain in France.
-
He could well have seen Hooper, I go places, doesn't mean I'm going to work there.
-
Which is why I said 10, Beckford and Hooper, younger, more mobile, more suited to a side that plays on the deck.
