  1. Poyet has commented recently that with the wage structure they have Brighton are being priced out of the market both for players they want to buy and players they want to keep.
  2. Either they're going for an entire team of Donnellys at Swansea or you've got them all muddled up. Swansea signed Rory Donnelly from Cliftonville...think that's in Ireland.
  3. Showing up as the game on L'Equipe TV as well but they've changed it at the last minute so often of late that I couldn't be sure that we'll actually be on...hence a stream.
  4. Two 23 and 21, I think I must be an awful parent, my kids actually seem to like me.Mind you we don't see much of them, one at Louisiana Lafayette and the other at Cranfield on secondment from the French Navy. Probably comes of having a vivid memory and remembering what an ass I was when I was a kid.
  5. I think the point with PIP inserts is that a lot of the units are manufactured from different components to those that were given approval, isn't that what the owner of the company said, cost cutting measures due to prices being forced down by clinics and all that?
  6. Then again he may need a bit of time in the first team to show what he's got.A lot of young players seem to need 10-15 minutes game time for a few games on the trot to get the feel of the pace and guile of the level. As we never give any of them much time it(s hard for them to be thrown in the deep end suddenly.Doble was injured a lot when he was on loan at Bournemouth wasn't he?I would like to see us give Hoskins 15 minutes in each of the next 3 or 4 games to see what he has to offer.Otherwise we'll never know really given that he'll be 19 soon and that's getting on for starting a first team career in our day and age.
  7. But who needs a 2 million £ replacement,we have Rickie,we have Guly,we now have Lee,then there's Barney,Connolly and we need to give the young men a bit of game time as well, otherwise we'll never know if they're good enough. I'm sure that this would be our reasoning.
  8. £2 million ?? Doubt if we'd pay that for Messi or Benzema...I think we're pretty frugal on outgoing transfer fees actually, doubt if we rated LJ as being worth anywhere near that.Incoming fees are something completely different.
  9. I was being magnanimous
  10. Signs of our times that no one can just go awol for a few days without contacting his friends or relatives. Good job it wasn't expected of me when I was a young man, if I pulled a goer on a Saturday I could well not call anyone for a week or so. When I was at Uni I think I used to call my Mum or Dad about once or twice month, usually for more money.Sometimes we don't hear from either of our kids for a couple of weeks on end.
  11. Is that a royal we're
  12. Yes so why is the term diminutive used,1.82 is a lot taller than say Barney or Billy Sharp.
  13. Cotterill started off Ok at Forest but they've gone downhill of late. Probably McClaren's influence tided him over the first 6 games and then the players realised that Cotterill is no better than McC.
  14. Diminutive?? is he not 1.82 m then, that's just under 6ft.Mind you I saw stats regarding his height which varied from about 5ft8" to 6ft 2" last week.
  15. So they've noticed that already then, strange that most of our fans didn't notice it from a nigh on full season with us.His positioning is awful and he appears to be only half awake most of the time. Once they'd got the old GPS vest on him his total lack of positional sense would have been a total giveaway.
  16. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Sam Hoskins gets at least a bench call for this game.
  17. West Ham are looking at anyone who has a pair of footer boots...apparently. If you saw the number of young french starlets that are linked with West Ham in L'Equipe each day you'd be amazed. It used to be Chelsea and Citeh, now any agent that wants to put his player on to the market says "West Ham are interested".
  18. Really don't think anyone is any too worried about a ramshackle collection of F14s,MiG 29 and Mirage F1s. Israel has more operational aircraft in operational storage than Iran posesses.
  19. that reminds me I quite like Tangerine Dream as well
  20. Did.."The Suburbs"that is crap, pure and unadulterated crap, perhaps not the best example of their work. You could hear tripe like that in any music pub or village hall in the mid to late 70s.
  21. there's 501 pages about Pompey...doesn't stop them being shîte though.
  22. But you need their approval to get one,it's primordial.
  23. Well no, but some of did in fact know he didn't meet the prima facie criteria. Anyway good news but I think our hunt for another striker will be put on a back burner for a while, maybe a younger man with potential just in case.
