Lambert isn't the be all and end all of Southampton FC. I really really doubt that we'll see Tadanari Lee in a Saint's shirt until about the end of January,a cameo role at Leicester perhaps but there was talk of him having things to do in Japan before he starts playing for us.Couldn't say what though, ask Shurlock,he's the Tadanari San expert. -

So we've written off Doble before he even gets a kick, we have a very heavyweight midfield, one of the 4 of them will score today. No wafty wingers in there just 4 extremely capable players,in attack and in defense, there will be plenty of cover for them when they see a chance to go forward. -
Doubt if he'll play next week, if he was fit and available for selection he'd be on the 7 man bench, he isn't so it's just as likely that he has strained some minor muscle or ligament or other.Perhaps his performance at Brighton wasn't good enough.

And we probably aren't. We have Tadanari San on line soon,Guly,Lambert and Connolly,we might all be pleasantly surprised by Doble this afternoon, even by AL playing in attack.I don't doubt that we will sign a supplementary striker but I don't see us paying a barrow load of cash for him nor giving him megabucks in guise of salary.Find young and improving candidates for a million and 10K'ish a week, that's where we should be looking. -
I thought it was said that he had a decent game at the time, probably just one of the rosy specced brigade being kind to the lad then.
-
Probably nazz again,no reason for him to be missing otherwise,if you take Richardson as rested the only other players missing are the wounded and suspended.
-
NC will still be here though, think he's hooked.Might even find the money to buy the club outright himself...if he doesn't already own a fair old share of it.
-
With the team we've got out today I get the impression that we ain't there to make up the numbers. Looking forward to the AL-RD combination, should be dynamic .
-
Harding of course, done it before.
-
Harding at right back, that's a newwy then.Good to see our 3CMs all starting and JWP as well, I like that format, gives guaranteed supremacy in the middle of the park, perhaps JWP will be the furthest forward this time.So much for Butterfield and Holmes, either they're injured or it's curtains for them at SFC.
-
there will be plenty of opportunities for them to be on the bench in times to come.Don't see any of them starting today except for Doble and he's no nipper.
-
To cut down on league games in Lambert's suspension....forget it, why exhaust the whole group with an extra game for the sake of one player. We will go to win and if we lose, well it's not the end of the world.
-
Different kind of ball today I think,we'll see how our keeper gets on with that, sure it'll be Bart though.
