  1. Well as long as you accept them being rude to you as when they call in to your workplace I guess it's OK.
  2. Can't remember where it was (but it was recent) exactly but a team turned out with their twitter names on their shirts the other day.
  3. Loitering with intent....is that still a crime in the UK? 2-0.....
  4. Posh are the second highest scorers in the division aren't they?? Hope our defence is solid tonight because if José starts making the sort of error he did against Reading (before he went off) we may get punished.Still some of it may be down to the hamstring injury that he had then. Reckon Posh might score first, sometimes we're a bit shaky at the start.
  5. I see Hull at home as the toughest of this month's games, don't think they've been beaten since the latter part of August. Don't think they had a great start but in September and October they've shot up the league.
  6. [quote=1976_Child;1176551 At least they don't have mackail smith this year though. They've got some new kid though, same sort of strike rate as CMS.
  7. I think they've both gotten off pretty lightly from the fans, do you not remember the treatment Beattie got for his DUI episode. The vast majority (or so it seemed) wanted him gone from SFC within the hour.Fighting outside a bar AOK,DUI not so much.
  8. I find it strange that we are willing to pour scorn upon our former players who've strayed from the straight and narrow but our own black sheep receive nothing but support.Chauvinism I guess.
  9. One amongst many in football.Too much money, not enough intelligence as a rule.
  10. As far as I know Morgan is still part of Groupe France, meaning that the DTN keep an eye on him. If he's not getting regular first team football they may well get on at him again about it.As he's still on the list of "sportifs d'haut niveau" issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports the FFF are bound to check up on him all of the time.
  11. all you need to know
  12. On the Taarabt I saw on TV yesterday being behind him must be absolutely shame making.
  13. Only started 5 out of 14 games though, couldn't say why that is, perhaps he just ain't all that good. Mind you if your club hires a knob like EHD to replace you it can't be good.
  14. So we're going to dump Guly back out on the right then and waste Chaplow completely in CM (1 game in every 4 or 5) where he's less effective. We only need a back-up striker, depends if Sharp is now willing to accept that role. Then there's Barney, we have no idea as yet as what he can do at this level because 14 league games into the season he hasn't even played once.
  15. The point of the loan is that he's not here,he has a contract until about 2013 I guess and he's persona non-grata at SFC. As no-one seems to be willing to meet our asking price for him it would seem that anyone who he thinks is worthy of his services can have him on loan.In this case I think JP wanted to go to QPR far more than QPR wanted JP.
  16. Must have been in at least half of those, what with Darts and Football and all. The Lord Louis closed?? where do people wait for the bus nowadays then...mind you they've probably moved the bus station as well.Made many a wait for the H+D tolerable, a pie from Plesteds and a pint in the LL...what more could you want.
  17. It's to do with muscular mass, when you get older your ability to build MM (and recover from minor day to day damage) wane. For a few years say between 38 and 47/48 this can be compensated by increased endurance but after that time takes it's toll and the rot sets in.Don't forget maximum heart rate decreases with age as well. MHR can be simply defined as 220-Age (there's a correction to be applied if you want real accuracy but the rule of thumb is near enough) So if you can't get your heart rate up easily any minor obstacle (little hill, sharp bend etc) causes an increased effort and it will eventually slow you down. Nowadays I notice hills more than I've ever done, keeping equal intensity effort slows you as it wouldn't have done before. There's all sorts of stuff like microleaks in the circulatory system as well.
  18. I think the Posh might well give us a more difficult game than Boro. Still can't see why people think the Boro were an OK side. I put the whole game into the memory on the decoder box so I've looked at it again in it's entirety, still can't see that Boro were anything other than very mediocre.
  19. It's a pity that there's no archived film footage of George Kirby (or at least easily available) I'd love to see that diving header from about 20 yards out again, one of my favourite ever goals, even if the opposition was probably no better than today's pub standard.
  20. Hull are certainly creeping up the table after a poorish first couple of matches.Presume their match in hand is against Birmingham so that helps a bit although who ever wins that game would (in theory) be only 3 points behind us as things stand.
  21. Football shirts aren't ideal for running though, perhaps they could do some red and white striped singlets with the sponsor and everything.
  22. That's good,I see from some of the chip times that a lot of people blew up from about 10K so I guess there was a bit of a breeze at the end.
  23. Yes, I've always run with clubs, some quite good ones, Birchfield,Blackheath,CA Montreuil,Clermont Athletisme.Always full of good people who'll help you along whenever things aren't so great and you get to pass along whatever you have to offer to the youngsters as well. I love running, couldn't see sustained life without, even though I get slower every year now I slog away at it.
  24. So how did we do?
