Can't understand why decent players like Lustig sign for micky mouse teams like Celtic. -
We don't get them anything specifically at Christmas any more, mind you they're pretty grown up now and those old studies are still costing us a fortune every year. Still one is in his last year (of 7) and the other only has 2 of 5 to go in the US.They'll come out of it with armour plated qualifications and no debt whatsoever which is better than some plasticcy crap on the 25th of December I suppose. As for the Mrs and I,well we haven't had a single gift from anyone for about 10 years now so I guess we won't be getting anything this year either.

Lukas Jutkiewicz.... is he worth signing?

But to be honest Lambert has developed into a better player than some/most of us thought he would.Don't find many players who are getting better and better at 29 going on 30,perhaps because he was underexploited by previous coaches and managers. -
Correct. I am absolutely floored by the poster who rates Claus Lundekvam and Statue Monkou as better central defenders than Mark Wright. Not even regulars in their respective national sides, McGrath was just a thug(footballing wise).Paul Bennett was a better centre back than any of those 3 .

I'd quite like to see us sign a player like LJ because I think it would give us the bit of punch we need and it would also alleviate the necessity for both CBs to come forward systematically for set pieces.I fear however that Guly would be sacrificed and that we just can't afford that right now as he is our principal playmaker. Perhaps when AL is fully match fit it would be an option but not on Saturday's showing. -

Morgan,Hammond and Cork is a completely different situation. They've each been starting 2 games out of 3 for a fair while now. This week it should be Hammond's turn to be on the bench,Rickie wouldn't stand for that, he obviously wants to start every game.If we start messing him around on that the transfer request will be on the door-mat within hours. -

Wort is very necessary,in fact wort is probably worth more than Jutkiewitz just now. -

But how would we use him exactly? We have Lambert who usually stays pretty fit and has missed about 1 league game in the 2 and a half seasons he's been here. Guly is our engineer in the attack and then there's Barney. If you go LJ and RL you'd have to lose Guly and that would be extremely negative from the construction angle because Guly is wasted out wide.RL won't tolerate being benched so bringing LJ here right now would be just another bench candidate,we already have largely enough of those. -
21,000 capacity ground,12000 home gates, should be plenty of space for our excedent then shouldn't there?

Really? Skates FC is just a low grade circus, nothing funny or amusing about it,just shedloads of sleaze and horse-shît at every level.

does anyone really care??

Best player we've ever had.
-
probably not so much, depends how many more penalties we would have obtained doesn't it. Lambert has 12 league goals this season, 5 penalties in that number I think. So 7 open play goals. LJ has 7 league goals of which only 1 is from a penalty. So Lambert scores an open play goal in 7/17 ths of the games he plays, for LJ it's 6/18.

Idem, can't be a very accurate system, I must know the meaning or definition of at least 100,000 words.

It's the same hype as Brian Howard,Brian Stock, you name any footballer who was once with our youth set-up and is perceived, rightly or wrongly,to be a Saints fans and he suddenly become a cross between Messi,Zidane and Beckenbauer every transfer or loan window.

Spot on, comes from my days at Imperial, we had an Australian there, called Bruce,I kid you not,A/H'd was his favourite saying.
-
Right, never mind, going to football will soon be like going to the WI(not that I've ever been of course, but I know how it works,my ex's Mum was a WIer,read Home+Garden and Country Lady and that sort of stuff all day and you weren't allowed to get A/H'd,even at Christmas)

could they not get him for indecent exposure or some other vice related charge for that.
