Adkins: "There is scope to dip into the loan market"
Window Cleaner replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Must have been too busy reading the "Top 3 Cougars you would smash" thread to notice that then, from Pat I presume.Good job Rickie doesn't read the Ugly, Nick lets him have it again in today's preview. -
Look and see when Ticket Office was logged in last. They are usually on line when anything concerning tickets is in the offing. They were even online on a Sunday afternoon when we drew Man U in the cup. The club watches over this forum all of the time. TO was online at a few minutes before 11 this morning. So they know all about those of you who are going into the home end at Bournemouth, probably gave Danny a call about his Colchester ticket as well.

Must have been really fit then, 10 minutes and he gets a groin strain, why even sicknote Anderton usually managed more than that. -

Yeah right, never have I heard such a load of old crock for a poor transfer window as that one. -

Even Dave Merrington brought the finances into question in one of his remarks on Tuesday evening so I guess NA's reference to it in his pre-match is a direct response. -
No they weren't, Wilkins lost 3 games if you include MK Dons,Pardew 1 and the other 5 are down to the current incumbent.

With Hammond being given the ultimatum that if he gets any more yellow cards he'll get a whacking great club fine

As if anyone would ever know. You'd be amazed about what can be "known" through very simple and "normal" means. The club would only ever know that "information" was leaking if someone told them so and no opposition coach or manager is going to tell them are they.Colchester will know all they need to know that's it and all about it,we will know what we want to know as well.
-
But the original point was that we'd need a justification for one and Morgan being injured wouldn't be enough. You do not need justification in any shape or form in these windows, afterwards yes and it's limited mainly to goalkeepers.
-
Pfffffff, if they think that players don't talk to their friends and relations they are totally deluded. It's very difficult to hide that you're walking around on crutches you know. The club has become obsessional about it of late. Now our friend VMAN told us that there was bad news coming out of the Oldham game although he didn't want to be specific,we all knew what that meant, but the club well they just waffled and ummed and ahd.The training videos were a dead give away, so was leftback so they stifled all that, the fans now no longer have any idea about injuries and the like but have no doubt about it the opposition do.

As if Lloyd James doesn't know the exact position that our squad is in at this very moment.People have friends that they talk to on the telephone and twitter and all that you know. There is nothing that Ward will not know about our squad on Saturday.
-
But you don't need a particular reason for them, that's what I was getting at.

A Commodore 64?

But surely the loan window is still open for ordinary loans. Emergency loans are something else, probably because they're short term in nature or something like that. Other clubs are still signing players on loans until the end of the season.

Adkins doesn't even mention it in today's build up video/interview.Just sidesteps the injury position entirely with the usual '"we've got a strong squad all pulling together, it's not just about 11" spielge.Reckons we had a good January window and the development squad is always there anyway and that Oscar Gobern might even get his chance.Nothing about Bart orMorgan, weeny bit about Ox young lad nurturing etc etc.

Oxlade-Chamberlain - injured but on the bench?
Window Cleaner replied to Born In The 80s's topic in The Saints
In fact Adkins contradicts himself somewhat, says they thought they could get a good 20 minutes out of him and then goes on to say that if Guly was fit Ox wouldn't even have been on the bench.Adkins should just stop talking about every match and let Crosby have a stab at it from time to time, just like AP did. -

No good being vocal if you're not good enough to get into the team though. -
Lasse Viren is the key apparently, shows you can fall over in a race and still win.Unfortunately for every Lasse Viren in 72 there are hundreds of Mary Deckers in 84. Plus they didn't have as many Kenyans and Ethiopeans in those days..I really am beginning to wonder if NA knows what he's talking about with all these cosy homilies he keeps treating us to.

Depends Adkins can't watch the games very closely now can he, he said Morgan collided with the goalkeeper on Tuesday but in reality he collided with a defender who tackled him. -
not great mathematics there though,Colchester is missing and I think the points total is way off. Looks more like 30 odd than 27.

Les Reed, Lou Reed was with Velvet Underground and should never ever be got rid of,not sure that he's not dead though:x Nope not dead.

Question for the Positive-Thinkers after the Walsall result
Window Cleaner replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Oh? I don't doubt that we wanted to win as much as Walsall did but our side is now becoming seriously diminished by injury and several of our better elements are gone from the line up.If we'd been able to play Ox from the start (or even if he'd been fully fit for 20 minutes) if we'd had Guly in reserve, if Morgan had lasted the 95 minutes everything might have been so much different. These things were not to be unfortunately but we still gave good account of ourselves, just couldn't score that's all. The fact that they did score is once again down to the fact that we are piling forward all the time and have little composure in our own half. -
And these monumental errors were?

Don't know that I'd want at 34 year old raincoat flashing troublemaker in our side.
