  1. Nah they've put their reserves out tonight.Full strength on Saturday then.
  2. Obviously all thinking about Saturday's game then.
  3. The French have just finished a campaign to collect unpaid or underpaid taxes and repatriate capital illegally held in offshore accounts. Managed to collect a billion in taxes and penalties from about 4000 offenders and have 7 billion repatriated by compulsion. 11K£ seems a drop in the ocean really, even though it was the result of a swindle.
  4. I really do think we're a striker short, about the rest I'm none too fussed but I've seen so many chances wasted by our front men because their technique just isn't good enough that's it's quite disturbing.Looked in on Chelsea -Bolton a bit yesterday, the Malouda goal came from exactly the same sort of situation as the one Rickie missed early on last week, same angle, same keeper position everything, but Malouda knew that dinking it with his left foot was the way to go, Rickie just blasted it with his right. Not saying we should sign Malouda but sometimes our front 2 are so 50's it's unbelievable.
  5. I do miss those young peoples holidays though, didn't matter where you went or what the hotels were like, you hardly ever saw the place by the light of day and you probably spent 10 days out of 14 in some woman's hotel anyway.Mind you with some of those girls best not to see them in the light of day too much anyway.
  6. Saga grab a granny holidays eh, 18-30s action for the elderly, free oxygen masks in every room.
  7. Demba Ba, hasn't he just signed on at West Ham? There was also an Ibrahim Ba, great when he was at Bordeaux, got a move to Juventus or something like that and became absolute dump overnight.Once he had the francs in his pocket he did not give a toss, Saga must have been one of his earliest disciples.
  8. Anyway you always have 1 long/triple jump pit at each end in any athletics set up, so that you always run up in whichever way the wind is most favourable .Same as there's no set direction for the start/finish line, this is always based on the prevailing winds for the area the stadium is built in.
  9. You know what I meant, I think it would be considered discriminatory in most countries because only a certain group of people can apply for employment. Imagine if Southampton City Council applied a SO postcode only for job applicants, they'd be in the deep brown pretty quickly I think. Plus the last time I saw any photos of AB they were all white.
  10. Might not be considered politically correct in the UK though
  11. It could well be a running track but it's certainly not an athletics track.
  12. True, wish we we're playing Charlton this evening though.Nowhere near enough football and far too much speculation.
  13. Fed up with transfer talk, nothing's happening and I wouldn't doubt that nothing will happen. We probably have targets but they're out of our price range.
  14. Isn't that what most thought about the Oldham game but we went there and absolutely destroyed them. The Blackpool win gave us extreme confidence and it was unfortunate for Oldham. If we put in a fair showing against Utd (even though we'll probably lose) it could well give us a boost at Exeter. We have however got to get the side right against Utd and I don't want to see any more of this using a left back as a wide man malarkey. If we don't play Puncheon then Guly should act as a midfielder who plays wide left, Lambert and Barney in attack, presuming Lallana won't be ready that is, bet he wants to play though.
  15. 167 metres seems a bit long, I've experienced quite a few running tracks and that seems long. The straight part is 80 metres each side and the curved parts are 120 metres each. Now the home straight has to be at least 112 metres long with a bit of a deceleration area at the end but I'm not sure that many of them are at least 55 metres longer than that. Could be but I'm sure I've seen plenty of 6 lane tracks (which are pretty standard) that are fitted into a space less than 167 m long.145/150 ish I'd think.
  16. Well if you see him stray on to the road with that Land Rover tick him off, because I'm not sure that he's got a licence. Wiki is sometimes a bit strange, says John Evan was educated at Kings but I'm sure that he did just 2 or 3 years of Pharmacy at Chelsea College
  17. Is the Standard still a free rag that you pick up at the tube entrance and leave on the seat when you get off??
  18. Surprised at that he's not a bad bloke or wasn't in past times. John Evan(who was at one time in Pharmacy at Chelsea) was going out with a girl in my year at Imperial and he got us tickets for an Albert Hall gig and we got to meet them all afterwards.
  19. I don't think they're done at any Saint's establishment; Thought it was down to a clinic somewhere or other..could be wrong.
  20. Is he not still Lairding it up in Aberdeenshire then??
  21. Gants de menage, must be some sort of popular brand though. We just use whatever the wife brings home from her botany lab.Running up the old budget deficit a bit more.
  22. nope can't see any mistake Crop Rotation was known is Roman Times.Perhaps it faded out in the 14th century though for all I know. I'll have to have a look in Horse Hoeing Husbandry which we all know is the life's work of one Jethro Tull Esq.
  23. was she in the Partridge Family ??
  24. Nah, didn't catch that off the bat I'm afraid. English brand names are a distant memory.
  25. This is an extremely narrow subject, had a lecturer at Uni who used it for his Mastermind appearance, told me on a tube ride home from a bonanza post grad binge that it was the narrowest subject allowed.
