So then I have read that some young footballers and their parent are being invited to the game on Saturday with free tickets to boot. There is also some sort of hospitality package costing ...wait for it.... yep 125£ for 2 people (plus VAT of course).Still good to see those freebies going out to very young players for the occasion, think they get a free tea and a walk round the pitch or something as well.

I thought his name was Robinson though, probably got that all wrong then.Do we have any Robinsons in our group?
-
I read that as that he came on at some time in the game instead of Gobern.

I suspect that the intolerance comes from many having been taken in by clowns in the recent past.

Chaplow - signed a 2 and a half year deal - OFFICIAL

Still at 50K they must be desperate to be shot of him, hope we can afford the salary that's all. -
Nah, he's got the good gen alright,if LB says it then it's probably about right,it's why he's doing it that matters. 3 posts a day is enough to titilate us without having to expose his identity by paying.Go on Steve give him a freeby, make our day.

Yer average internet research throws up 2 possibilities, an oldie from Leeds or an 18 year old winger from Hearts. Take your pick, both look to be available.

Still for 50K we could do worse, that's a giant hit they're taking on him then, paid WBA 900K + add ons. -
It means we needed an excuse for a bit of jingoistic tub thumping,a new shirt, probably some "special" merchandise as well. Never seen such an innocous milestone built up to such an extent. When you've a fairly recent manifestation 10 years means something, then 25 but after all this time 125 is nothing special

so not too much risk of him/her getting unmasked just yet...good oh, brightens up our dull existence.
-
I have my own idea as to the identity of leftback, fits, i could see how he gets the info, but why he'd do that I just couldn't say. Perhaps he got turned down for the managers job......more than once.
-
but why has he an agenda, that's what you need to work out, I mean it's not as if it's likely to change anything is it.
-
oooh, if I had a bad day at work every time my Mrs or one of the youngsters gets on my nerves the world would be a sorry place.
-
Boro will be alright now that they've gotten shot of Strachan. A real dinosaur, graft, graft, graft that's all his teams are about. Didn't fancy one of his best players so just chucked him out of the first team. Probably thought that dribbling and backheeling are just circus acts, same as he did with Anders.
-
Especially with our defence at the moment.
-
So we defend man for man then and not zones. It doesn't matter who's the patsy that gets caught out every time because there will always be one if the keeper is static in a zonal system at set pieces. Keeper has the best vision of the whole picture, if you haven't got eyes in both sides of your head and at the back at well a forward moving defender with momentum will always catch you out in a zonal system. Wouldn't mind betting we have one of the worst records in the football league for goals conceded in this way.
-
I really doubt that Lambert is playing badly because he's got the hump, he's playing badly because he's not fit enough, whether that is because he's upset over something or other I couldn't say.I did read somewhere that Middlesborough made an enquiry about him that was turned down flat...could be all BS though.
-
The Pompey fiasco made it quite evident that no major (well sort of anyway) football team is going to go out of business in the forseeable future.Minnows maybe but anyone who has something that is worth something(like a league place and some sort of respectable fan base) will be allowed a whole lot of time before anything really drastic happens.
-
Correct, see people all those with coaching certificates say exactly the same thing. When I'm working with the U15s in my small town team I use a standard zone coaching tactic, roping 4 of them together 5 metres apart. If the keeper doesn't come out well I'll drop him illico because he is weakening the whole system,it leaves a zone uncovered between the goal line and a line about 8 metres out.Obviously if the ball is too high he has to stay back but at head height or a bit above he comes out.Given that the attackers from deep always have the most forward momentum a static keeper is really a big big big problem at set pieces.
-
but he was on the bench wasn't he, Seaborne not Martin, means he was fit enough to play because if not surely Martin would be on the bench.Other than that the managements esteem of Martin must be so low that even an (slightly) injured player is preferable to him, given that Martin played 90 minutes in the stiffs earlier in the week.
-
Perhaps he's not comfortable with the system without the 5 metre rope, anyway if we're defending zones Davis has one as well, 10 yards from his goal line. You cannot defend in zones from corners with the keeper rooted to his goal line. It is the ABC of football coaching.

Not that nice young man Lee Barnard eh !!!
-
still first team coach though. NA should have insisted that he was shown the door and brought his own man in. Oh right he got the managers job at Scunnthorpe. What I'll say to you all is remember Glynn Snodin, first team coach is a vital role and if you get it wrong disaster is always waiting round the bend.
-
Neither does his ball control or his creation of time for other players to move into space (which some of them aren't too great at just now) but Chaplow is NA's binky so whatever happens he'll be on the team sheet, just like Lambert. Dropping MS for Chaplow when he came back from the 2 game U21s session last month was not wise. It's obviously p*ssed Morgan off and I don't doubt that all he wants now is to leave.
-
which is what I said, undermined by the coaches, Wilkins isn't the only one who's still here.
