dead right; the defensive mistakes and the fluffed goal efforts as well.Just as NA says up to there I'm right with him but to me he creates the environment for these to happen with the selection of Jaidi and the eternal use of RL as the main striker. I've been reading through the minute by minute on the Carlisle site and I must admit from there we didn't look too bad,Merrington is such a whiner that a lot of what we do isn't reported or just given a negative bias.

1 goal from open play in what 18 games is just utterly unacceptable, Fonte has managed 2 or 3,Lallana 3 and AOC 3 as well. He won't play himself into form we are just deluding ourselves,he's not scoring because he's just not fit and adding on another 30 games just won't change that.He's over the hill for some reason or other and we're just flogging a dead horse.I don't doubt he's undroppable, it was rumoured to be so last season and I think it's probably true.

but our last 8 league games are W5 D1 L2, 16 points from 24, probably good enough still but not the same as winning 6 because of our poor start we need over 2 per game now.

Although I don't think the answer is new players all of the time.That's probably what got us into this awful shambles of a division in the first place.NA has to decide what his first team is and play it.To me the team that he has been playing of late isn't the right one and yesterday he seemed to realise that and tinkered with it but in a sort of half hearted way.Until he makes the obvious change that he seems reluctant to make (or is he even allowed to!) we are going to have problems. Lambert is absolutely dire and it's plain for everybody to see,yet it's Barney that gets dropped,Guly must be wondering wtf he is doing here, he sees the abject Lambert getting 90 minutes every week and he doesn't even get 5 minutes.The players must be thinking wtf is going on.

And what is the difference between these performances ??? it comes down to the same 2 men all of the time, Antonio and Lambert. One's no longer here the other is just a cardboard cut out of the real thing.

Although it would help if your main striker could jump wouldn't it? just a vague notion that I picked up from some idle TV football watching.

I very much doubt that they were ever really put away,we are a very old club with a big history, many of us shudder to see us down in the bargain basement of football, it's like purgatory.When we sacked AP for whatever reason, I fully expected us to get a name,although I have no particular problems with NA,I thought yesterday's system was apt and expected it to work very well but it didn't,but he isn't a big name manager and he obviously hasn't won over all of the fans and some are going to question him at the least failing. I do wonder if he really knows how to handle all of the players he has at his disposition because let's face it he's a lower league manager working with players who obviously have higher league aspirations.

Probably the most worrying of all your revelations to be honest.I thought he'd gone or moved out of harm's way at least, staggered when I heard on the commentary yesterday that he was still on the touchline working his magic.Bloke is a dinosaur, why oh why do we keep doing this to new managers, did the same when Dodd was always hanging about the place (think he still is as well).New manager=clean sweep and all the coaching staff from the old regime should go .

because Lambert was scoring goals as was Connolly in his all too brief purple patch.If I remember correctly in those days Wotton was the anchor man of the 3 CMs, now it seems to be Hammond and perhaps he isn't quite as effective, perhaps also the opposition is better. Many clubs in our league seem to be relying on young loanees from EPL clubs, seems to be working for some of them.

Seemed to manage alright last season mostly though. With him it's about movement in front of him and creating time and space. AP improved him quite a bit in certain ways and he has no doubt felt the change more than most. Plus the circumstances of his dropping would p*ss off more than one player, you go away to play for your country, do well,play 2 good games, score a decent goal and come back to find you've been dropped. As 've said before I wouldn't doubt that he has already asked to leave because of this.

NA was very negative as well, very hard faced interview, don't know if you heard it,says we should have won 2-0,very stringent on certain players.

Morgan has been replaced in the starting line up by Chaplow, this is his first start for a good while, he's been dropped by the French U21s no doubt because he's not getting a game for us. What do you expect from him when he's been ****ed about ever since Adkins got here.The only game he's started of late was when Deano was suspended.

I don't doubt for one minute that Lambert is an automatic choice for some reason or other,last week for some arbitrary cause or other José and Morgan were given the day off but Lambert was still on the bench and came on (I think).There is something which just isn't right with NAs handling of the players. Why drop Seaborne for the dinosaur Jaidi, because he marked the wrong zone (according to Patred anyway,didn't look like it to me) a few weeks back. Now NA is blaming one player for not doing his job (who that can be I couldn't say because Harding can't be guilty of bad marking from a corner cos he's usually on the post) blames Lallana and Chaplow for not scoring but not a word of reproach for Lambert. I thought NA was doing an OK job but today well I'm not so sure .

because we beat weak sides and our principal striker still couldn't score.Until we resolve this "I have a divine right to play so up yours" attitude from that player we will have these saw toothed results

As he says it wasn't the formation it was the execution,you don't go 4-3-3 to concede 3 goals.Missed too many easy chances just as I say as he says as well.You cannot go 4-5-1 with a lame duck like Lambert, that's what he got wrong and just that..

NA sounds angry.3 bad goals just like I said.We went not to lose and gave away soft goals.

And there were players who shouldn't have started but they did.NA has f*cked with our midfield because of some strange reason of his own.Our main striker isn't scoring so he has had to go for goals from midfield thus bringing into play players who are a defensive disaster.

Everybody knows that I think we are flogging a dead horse with Lambert ffs I've made no secret about it. Bloke has been entirely useless as a striker this season and that is his only talent. 1 goal from open play in what 17 or 18 matches is just total crap, he knows it, I know it, the manager knows it but every week he has to be on the team sheet.

but the arbitrary dropping of some players and not others won't win many friends either. Wouldn't be surprised if there were a few transfer requests flying about at SMS already.

Especially when we seem to have a player who is always on the team sheet no matter what he does or doesn't do. I am very depressed today, thought we'd do better but I am singularily worried by NAs team selections, he seems to be ****ing players off with his "binkys"

Zone marking by the principal central defenders may not help. Never liked it myself, man for man at corners, otherwise you get mismatches like AOC marking a 7 foot central defender or something.
