Although he is now the proverbial rural kilometre in front because he wasn't content to just stay put and be adored by a handful of fans, he's gone out to prove himself on the European stage. This is my continual beef with Le Tissier he wasn't prepared to "be all you can be" as they say in the US military recruitment campaign ad.
-
nope, expect a good win myself with a couple of goals from our midfield.
-
whatever "body problems" means in NA speak he also has a big hole in his head, but I'don't doubt that he'll play tomorrow, he probably has a contractual clause that says he can't be dropped.
-
He's not a one season wonder because he scored a fair few the season before last at Bristol Rovers, there were however years when he has had a far more modest goals/game ratio. Rickie no doubt profited from the sparkling form of other players last season to boost his goal tally. Anyway NA says he still has some ongoing physical problems which the medical and coaching staff are working on constantly so maybe it's time for him to have a little rest and see what we can do with Barnard and Guly tomorrow. Although to be frank Barnard really hasn't helped by getting himself sent off in a meaningless game and then having all his city centre micmac.

I thought he was a useful player last season but as our strike-force is currently misfiring badly we need players like Puncheon to start chipping in with goals again until they sort themselves out...or rather until the manager sorts them out. With the risk of being a bore (again) I'd just point out here that our problem is in scoring goals, not who's playing well and who isn't. We have more serious problems than booing Jason Puncheon. Fans should start barracking Lambert every time he's a yard too slow or slams a hard earned free kick into a defensive wall. although I don't remember him scoring 13 or 14 goals for us last season, maybe in the MM JPT trophy??

everybody was excellent against Tranmere because they we're so frigging bad. I'd look good against a girl guides side like that.Tranmere are poor anyway, that day they had a reserve stuffed side out to boot, young loan players in the main.
-
ah that would be too much of a generalisation, Gerrard is past it for sure, Adebayor has probably been led astray by the money,Rooney wants to move on and Torres doesn't look fit....same as Lambert....but then that's probably Hodgson's fault cos he obviously doesn't know what he's doing with the players he has. Won't last much longer .
-
yes he has, had some sort of memory loss as a result as well.
-
I'd drop Lambert and go with Guly and Barnard, logical if we want to play on the deck. Martin??? don't think so, don't think NA believes he's ready for first team football as yet.
-
unless the loan gets extended of course. Isn't Chaplow here on the same sort of deal ?
-
It's surprising how quickly your legs can go when you've not led a particularly healthy life style beforehand.
-
3 even, didn't Semi get sent off ?

Best player you've seen play 'in the flesh'

Are you trying to tell us that you've never seen a better player than Leon Best?? Even Lallana is 50 times the player he'll ever be. -
wrong tense used was instead of is He's over the hill and going down the other side, happens when hills are very steep, there's no plateau between up and down.

Barclays Bank????

Real ambition??? you are deluded, if we had real ambition we wouldn't be 15th in League 1 and we'd have stopped tarting about with players like Lambert and Puncheon weeks ago if not before. We have a plan, whether we have the means to carry it out is something completely different.
-
We will go up if we can find someone to score goals
-
clubs with genuine ambition get to keep their best young players, but as you can probably count these on your fingers the best players always get drawn into a sort of success/reputation vacuum and then just move about inside it.Man U,Chelsea,Man C,Real,Barca,Bayern, two Milan clubs,Juventus+ Arsenal (from time to time ) and that's about it.These clubs always have endless ambition fuelled by endless money.Real can buy a player for 80 million and pay it off with a year's sale of shirts bearing his name, media rights cover all the rest.No matter how broke or indebted they are these clubs always have money for other clubs "stars".
-
made by Georges Prost would be more fitting. Now he's doing it again in Lyon.
-
because he would never play at a sufficiently high level to show it.Playing for Saints in the last 10 years or so is a real conundrum, players may love the club but they just have to leave cos we will never go anywhere because we fill our side with mediocrity all the time. Lallana and Morgan need to leave as soon as possible to develop their talents to the full because at SFC they'll always be considered as second best to (relative) crap like Lambert.

Platini closely followed by Zidane and Cantona (who I was lucky enough to see when he was about 16 at Auxerre) -
Anyway NA called them sloppy goals, I guess he knows what he's talking about eh?
-
Bart having a good game seemingly, I do sometimes wonder whether we'd be better off with him in the first team, but then I remember the League Cup tie at Rotherham.
-
But not when you're 35, is that right. Anyway it's just a name, U21s,development squad whatever, it's the reserves.
