im not fussed about CCTV in the city/town centres.... the speed cameras are the ones that do my head in.. soon we will have average speed cameras at the start and end of every motorway junction.... I like the sounds of swindon council....they are going to stop them being used in the way they are in their area..

CCTV to be used for major crimes...say terrorism, assault, robbery etc is all perfectyly fine...when they use them as a tax vehicle such as speed cameras and looking who drops litter then that is too far..

I (why i dont know) tuned in to Radio 1 the other day (or week) and moyles was broadcasting his show from LA...coming out with the same crap jokes but swanning it up at our expense....did that really need to happen... do they have to employ so many people who dont express an opinion on music? Zane lowe is about the only opinionated presenter on at a decent hour.. then they had (or still have) kelly osbourne hosting that surgury on sunday or what ever it is...i mean..WTF??? then you have the other 73483 radio stations

you cant mess about when it comes to TVs these days.. I would go for a 42-50 inch screen, with a good stand and good leads... as someone said....look at comets

the idea of the BBC as a whole is very out dated and belong in the last century.. why oh why is there so many BBC channels...why oh why do we pay for (unts like moyles to **** up in LA to present the same show...does the BBC really need so many radio stations??? the BBC are by far the worst culprits for having 5 people doing 2 peoples jobs.. the presenters on BBC radio dont tend to have an opinion and are generally bland. Eastenders (their prime ****e) is truely awful... one good thing, they will soon be getting F1 back i guess.... the day I dont have to pay for a license fee will be a great one..I hardly watch the beeb and resent paying it

Nelson was indeed a poor sailor so to speak..however, he was the greatest military leader of his generation and maybe of all time in british history.... his command of loyalty from men serving in utterly poor conditions iwas simply brilliant....he was out spoken, had a mistress and was in shocking health...with all that, he still delivered the good against all odds... he commanded the british fleet with his right hand man Collingwood and did the unimaginable...defeated the combined navies of france and spain...something we will never begin to realise how important that was... the only naval battle to come close to that scale was the battle of Jutland where admiral jellicoe (from southampton) led the royal navy in WW1.....nearly 200k tons of shipping were lost during that battle!!!!!
