indeed...on telly, they commented in the first half how holmes got a few good crosses in that should have been attacked at the near post..basics!!!! with mcgoldrick, he goes wandering, i really really rate him by the way, and I think he would be a great partner for john....I would try lallana out on the right ala, belmadi type of role...
-
of course, this will happen..and im sure it will happen again..im also sure we will hammer a team or two at SMS....like i have always said...a top 10 finish would be a good season but anything from 15th up wards is realistic..
-
admit it...killer was rubbish yesterday..got bailed out by perry a couple of times....
-
in what way? he goes "wandering" too much...there were a few times we broke and Lallana was the most advanced central player.... I think McGoldrick would work well WITH john
-
poor...alarmingly pathetic...it was all last ditch, EVERYTHING....apart from perry, the whole back four were shocking... saying that, the centre midfielders in front of the back for were non existant, which is a major part of the defence too... the lack of pace at the back was very alarming....I have no idea if cork has any pace, but if he does, he has to play
-
that penalty was very obvious on the telly box...no complaints from me..
-
dyer came on and did ok...a million miles better than white...he kept camara actually at LB and not doubling up as a left winger.... he looked to get involved but you could tell he lacks match practice...which is why I thought he should have played in the week against brum..
-
you cannot compare john to DMG....they are completely different type of players...
-
the very fact there was three of these, each being a very close call and they also hit the post does reflect how bad we were at the back and deserved the defeat IMO
-
the ref was bad but got all the major decisions right... however, to even try and blame the ref for the performance we put in s laughable
-
if he has any pace at all..he needs to play at the back....the lack of pace we have at the back was horrible to watch..it was all last ditch defending
-
indeed...I have read that rupert and jan have been in contact for a couple of years.. I also believe that this was the set up lowe wanted before he gave in to the pressure to bring burley in....
-
lol..
-
I remember the conference when burley came and it was said he was chosen as he had a great track record in bringing youngsters through... instead he brought in bale and jones and splashed loads of money on the wrights, II, euells of this world...
-
no no no Das boot
-
I seem to remember 99% of SMS thought redknapp was a great idea during his first game in charge..the round of applause he got when he forst stood up in the boro game suggests that most thought lowe did the right thing.. hindsight is woderfull

Platoon is good

Scooby....seriously, you brighten up this board.. keep it up mate...(I do agree with most of your points) I would not go as far as calling Lowe "lord lowe" but each to his own...:smt082
-
the game was in Monaco....so, they were both "away ends" so to speak
-
agree with that totally... beattie was up there that season with the likes of van nistelrooy and thierry henry etc...

i think we would have gone down with sturrock.....I have lived in Plymouth for the last 8+ years and have seen what he can do first hand...he was great in (what is now) league 2 and league 1 BUT in the CCC he is dreadful...look at Plymouth, just go on PASOTI and see what he most vocal supporters think about him...he is their greatest manager and they are turning against him..they are not fickle it is just that he is no good... I know Plymouth have sold players (alot) BUT he has got in more than 10 players of HIS choice...he now wants BWP to solves his lack of goals...I mean COME ON!!!!!! he was also sacked at sheff wed too in this league.. what I find hillarious is when people laugh off hoddle saying "look at what he did at wovles" etc then go on to say Sturrock is a good manager.. he took over from WGS and the team at the end of the season (imo) was WGS team that had " a shot in the arm" that all new managers bring... much like when he took over from holloway last season with ollies team luggy and his football beling to league 1 and below....and this is from someone who has seen him drag plymouth from nowhere to the CCC...sadly, many plymouth fans agree with that statement...
-
i think you will find sturrock was appointed the seaso before..
-
agree with that..and for £1m he did more than I ever thought he coulc achieve...
-
of course. it will be no where near that in the intial outlay
