well, that is all well and good. Just passing on what a mate at work who had family there and who knew of people who were killed...I have no idea but will take his word for it over some reportgovernment reports are not always accurate are they, as previous (take yer pick) can show

Just speaking to one of the lads at work who's uncle was there that day.. he said he was told by his uncle that is was utter chaos outside, there were more liverpool fans than what they could cope with and many who did not have tickets.....he knew this as there were god knows how many begging to buy tickets off people outside....as for why liverpool had that end ofthe ground....the reason he was told was that liverpool fans were brought in from one way and forest fans the other....they were given said ends so they did not cross each other en masse........he said he was lucky as he got in and was down the side of the stand...but my mates uncle told him that there were simply too many liverpool fans there that day......and the police simply fecked it up royally

there we have it....passing the buck. don't get me wrong, I'm sure the police fuked up royally...they must have as so much has changed since then but like anything..if a large crowd wants to do something what is going to stop them... just like when saints fans ran on the pitch against burnley...how can they be stopped...who's fault was that if someone got seriously injured...

As I have said on here before, an ex works for the local council assisting poor families etc..some of the stories of many who demand everything delivered to them.. laptops, bus passes, trainers, gift vouchers, school uniforms etc etc...some essential..some plain not and many parents demanded (very rudely) that these things are delivered to them...asking them to pick them up was like asking someone to poke their own eyes out.. whilst she used to do visits there was nearly always a car in the drive way, sky dish on the wall, playstation in the lounge, huge telly etc etc......... the sense of entitlement is a disgrace....give people what they need..not what they think they deserve

just the high street generally...mobbed mate and the south west is as poor as you get....the shops were packed my point is...at a glance (and the high street is a fair barometer) there is no way the end of the world problems as some make out (be it papers, forum posters)

well, I went in to O2 and the apple shop to look at the new iPhone and both had completely sold out....they sold out in day 1.....HMV was mobbed with a huge queue...and reading this thread made me realise, the whole of town was packed solid...and this area is as poor as it gets in the UK

just came back from town..all the iPhone 4s are sold out..the shopping centre is packed solid, HMV was packed, etc etc sms will be full etc etc at a glance, people are still spending money...
