lambert alone cost more than the next 3 big signings that season...one of which was dean hammond.... that included norwich in the league too, with leeds I remember plenty of posts saying how we were the best club outside of the prem/top 4....how we would probably beat england..how lallana and lambert should be picked for england and that what league they were in should not matter.... how we had a better squad than most of the NPC etc etc etc

davis harding fonte morgan chaplow lallana lambert Guly OxO puncheon were all at least NPC standard players when nigel was here....some of which have proven to be premier league standard players this idea that nigel performed a managerial miracle in getting that squad promoted is daft..had he not got promoted from league 1 when he did, he would have been a complete and utter shambles...he did and did in style.. last season was very impressive mind....
