  1. Just signed up for the trial and it is just like reading an ebook. I dont usually buy programmes because they are 1) too expensive and 2) have to carry it around and then it gets creased etc I am very tempted to sign up. For £29 it is a very good idea.
  2. Feel the same. Just got a niggling issue at the back of my mind as to whether Pards is playing mind games by saying Lambert and all are "touch and go" or they seriously are injured and therefore am worried for the weekend and possibly the Bournemouth cup game which is one I don't want us to lose!
  3. Feel that it would be stronger than that tbh, Pardew needs to get his XI sorted ready for Saturday I reckon it might be: GK - Davis RB - Butterfield CB - Martin CB - Fonte LB - Dickson RM - Mills CM - Wotton CM - Hammond LM - Holmes ST - Barnard ST - Connolly
  4. My day wouldn't get any better if that was to happen. I'll sit and hope...
  5. http://www.brentford.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=207076 It's Dickson's tribunal today. How much do you think we should pay for him? He looked very good on Saturday and I would say around 350k-400k? We were originally only going to give 100k but Brentford want 500k minimum.
  6. Well, Ive got tickets in my usual season ticket seats in the Itchen, Block 4 so it wouldn't surprise me if the whole of the stadium was open.
  7. Just about to post it, its the Mail so probably a load of bs
  8. Not him is it? Rui Fonte, younger brother of Jose. - Raul type looking hair - Looks like Raul - 6ft - Aged 20 - Some players knew him - he is Fonte's brother so possibly been introduced before?
  9. Echo reporting that Saints aren't getting a bye in the JPT first round this year. Shouldn't hamper our chances that much of retaining it by having to play that 1 extra game http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8303648.No_JPT_bye_for_Saints/ Now on OS as well http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2106640,00.html
  10. I would sign... Tom Eaves - Young and would be able to learn from Lambert and Connolly etc. Already seems to show great quality and would be more than adequate back up for Lambert Michail Antonio - Already know what he can do and wanted to come back here this season so shows his commitment to the club. Also cover for striker Darren Carter - Just seems to be a great chance of getting in a strong Championship player on small fee. Would provide great cover / competition and would push Hammond and Schneiderlin to their max. Also could cover the wings if necessary.
  11. Realised the mistake as soon as i wrote it! Changed it now to make it more reasonable
  12. Back to the questions. How many times has he played for his country at U21 level?
  13. Well why move Harding from 2 to 3 and Puncheon from 4 to 10? Why not just put Richardson as 3 and move Morgan from 19 to 10?
  14. I think there are some unnecessary changes to the squad numbers but why is 8 still free?? Possibly reserved for Carter or another signing?
  15. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2105285,00.html
  16. Would've said him but he's played for Chelsea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enrique_de_Lucas
  17. Just a quick giggle - Olly Lancashire has just scored an own goal for Walsall against Villa!
  18. Fully agree, he's a very good player but I think about 600k-700k would be more appropriate with add-ons depending on promotion, apps etc
  19. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=426&fid=204&act=1&mid=2120810861 Good signing if true??
  20. Good buy imo http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/435067902?-11205 Shame because being local, he wouldve been brilliant here
  21. Just about to say that, and we thought that Antonio was quick!
  22. +1 Fully agree with this. Whenever I look at pre season, i do realise that it is about results as well as fitness but then you look back to the year we were beating Norwegian sides (?) 12-0 or whatever it was in pre season and just remember how that season ended up. As already posted on this thread, during pre season there are a few unexpected results around the country and IMO pre season is mainly about fitness and finding the correct blend of players ready for the big kick off rather than stuffing sides and gaining nothing out of it.
  23. And Dickson off with groin injury
  24. It seems to me that Pardew is beginning to favour the 4-5-1 formation again with possibly switching to 4-4-2 late on in games like we did at the start of last season My team for the start of the season would therefore be: -----------------Davis------------------ -Butterfield----Jaidi----Fonte----Harding- -----Schneiderlin---Hammond----------- -Puncheon----Lallana----Dickson/Holmes- ---------------Lambert------------------ But going on todays team, it seems strong but not too sure about the way Holmes and Hammond are positioned? Surely they would be better the other way round, Hammond with Schneiderlin and Holmes behind Lambert? But, CM might suit Holmes more because less sprinting and therefore less injuries
  25. Anybody know who that is stood on his own to the right of Davis in the last picture on the Day 8 report?? Looks like Papa to me.
