It's all well and good getting these players but he'll stick with his traditional rigid 4-4-2 and get found out exactly like Reading and QPR did. It's not as easy as splashing the cash and expecting it to work. Even we found that out with Gaston, Mayuka and Jay Rod for example. All taking / took longer than anticipated to adjust. Champ to PL is a big step and unless you adapt to the division then you are like a rabbit in the headlights waiting to be struck.

The whole colour change to red was so they got increased investment from their owner. Their budget is £25m-£30m for this season + the TV revenue then they have got some funds. They will want a marquee signing as we did last year with Ramirez and West Ham did with Carroll. Wanyama seems to be this player.

Look there is absolutely nothing to stop me teaming up with a few on here, starting some second rate news agency, that to be honest, looks extremely cheap and tacky (mynewsagency.co.uk), and just keep tweeting stuff that others are tweeting. I am just as efficient in the Twitter search function as Crook is. This morning summed him up. Sees Goal and SkySports article re: Nainggolan rejecting us / not interested in coming and tweets saying that 'he has been told' / 'he understands' we arent interested yet forgets that he today has an article in the Star saying we're interested and have bid £15m. Now that is something stupidly amateurish.

I used to really take note of his tweets but that is all he seems to be doing lately. Has no idea of situation and just keeps putting it out there as "what he's been told".

But Wanyama would've known the initial figures from Saints hence why he supposedly flew back. Would you cut your holiday short without knowing what you're potentially walking in to?

Wanyama knows that currently we are the only offer. His only current option is to reject us and hold out hoping and praying a bigger team comes in for him. Otherwise he'll be playing SPL for another 6 months minimum, something he obviously doesn't want to be doing. He holds the cards but he needs to understand that when the Don pulls out, he pulls out. It's final. No turning back.

Lets not jump the gun just yet. @McGregorDerek: Celtic with 12.5m reasons to sweat as Victor Wanyama plays it cagey with Southampton. Player's holding all cards at moment. @McGregorDerek: @rmcdonald46 Believe that a fee has been agreed and Wanyama is talking to Southampton. You don't see Celtic or Southampton denying it.
