  1. K Billy, you are GOD!! Just looked back through your posts and you've told us about Clyne, Gazzaniga, Yoshida, Mayuka, Ramirez, Boruc and now Lovren (sorry if i've missed any). Who's next then?
  2. His agent was in Italy today speaking to Fiorentina regarding a transfer. They seem more likely as Bueno has already stated he wants to go to Italy.
  3. Who's already done the Wiki change then?
  4. Got any timescale on this? Tonight? Early next week?
  5. GraemeBailey: Southampton target Joan Verdu looks like he could be heading for Olympiakos. http://t.co/9cylEsIyXg
  6. According to reports in The Star & The Sun, we have placed a £7-£8m bid for Ever Banega
  7. Tweeted 10 mins ago by a South American football news site: 13/06 - Nacional: il Southampton ha avanzato un'offerta ufficiale di 9,5 milioni di euro per Gonzalo Bueno. 13/06 - Nacional: il Southampton è pronto a investire 10 milioni di dollari per assicurarsi il cartellino del centravanti Gonzalo Bueno, cl which translates to: 13/06-Nacional: Southampton made an official offer 9.5 million for Gonzalo Bueno. 13/06-Nacional: Southampton is ready to invest 10 million dollars to ensure the striker Gonzalo Bueno, cl Seems this one might be a goer?
  8. His agent, Pablo Bentancur (same as Gaston's) has travelled to Europe to meet with four clubs, Saints being one of them. Seems we have the upper hand and made the best offer so far, we also have Gaston as a friend who will help him settle and a manager that can speak Spanish and help the young lad along. Seems his family are keen for him to join. http://www.ovaciondigital.com.uy/futbol/nacional-cortes-mexico-futbol.html "Zorro" In another order, the businessman Pablo Bentancur traveled to Europe and one of its purposes was to begin to define the future of good Gonzalo. In addition to the interest of the Southampton of England, the stronger to take the "Zorro", there are three Italian teams who also have young striker tricolor folder. Bentancur was scheduled to meet with the four European institutions so that time, well can decide where you want to migrate. Today, the Southampton has advantage and not only by the excellent economic offer, which according to sources tricolor would be a business record. For good would be great to have another Uruguayan as Companion: Gastón Ramírez. In addition, coach of the English team is the Argentine Mauricio Pochettino and work with a coach who speaks Spanish much facilitate the adaptation of the juvenile to English football. All these aspects are taken into account by good and his family when making a decision. Anyway, and despite meetings that will keep Bentancur on the old continent, there is no trouble of the entrepreneur or national to realize the pass since the "Zorro" integrates campus of the under-20 that will debut in the World Championship category next Sunday in Turkey and have a good performance in this competition would rise even more your quote. What is clear is that after the World Cup, the "Zorro" will not national. Moreover, unlike what happened in the previous period passes, when Bueno said that not to the possibility of going to Russian football, is now convinced that is time to leave.
  9. Joan Verdú says he hasn't accepted Espanyol's offer and is looking for a new club. All tweets are translated from the official Espanyol twitter feed. "Joan Verdu announces that the last renewal offer has not been accepted by @RCDEspanyol. #RCDE" "Verdu: "I thank the club and the fans for the last 4 years" #RCDE" "Verdú: "I've been happy; not I felt little valued"#RCDE" "Verdú: "I wish him all the luck in the world to the #RCDE"
  10. This Sky Sports article seems to suggest Astori and Bueno. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/8770302/?utm_source=dlvr.it
  11. I think Jason Euell has to be up there alongside Saganowski. Euell came with a big reputation, having scored goals from midfield and up front for Wimbledon and Boro etc but just never got going here. Saga was the complete opposite! Came as an unknown, was an absolute corker of a loan signing, THE ultimate goal machine (10 in 13) and then got his contract and scored about 10 more goals in the next 2/3 seasons. Such a huge let down.
  12. Gaston. Came out in Italy, did an interview saying 4 yr deal, got no. 10 shirt etc and the move happened about 1 month later. He's the only one I can think of.
  13. Should've got Stubbs' to do it. Bit more expensive but at least they get the job done properly.
  14. Gaston. Now that WAS a saga. On off on off on off on off ON! Conflicting reports, Italians saying deal off, Nixon saying we're being used, suddenly Spurs apparently get bid accepted etc. That was painful.
  15. GraemeBailey: According to France Football, Stuttgart midfielder Ibrahima Traore has attracted interest from Aston Villa, Southampton and West Ham.
  16. Fulham home.
  17. Interesting article on Wanyama with Sky Sports. Could it be us in talks? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11787/8768712/Transfer-News-Victor-Wanyama-admits-he-could-leave-Celtic Transfer News: Victor Wanyama admits he could leave Celtic Asked about whether he was currently in talks with any English Premier League sides, he continued: "At the moment there are some things, some talks going on. "But I am concentrating with the national side and I have left that with my agent and I have not contacted him. "There are talks going on, but as I said I am on international duty and I will now what is going on when I go back to the club."
  18. I would compare him to someone like Wilshere so probably £25-£30m. Goes to show the quality you can get from abroad and the fees you pay.
  19. Link to Castro also in the People today.
  20. Ammar Jemal in our NPC promotion season. Left footed centre back, Tunisian, was all signed and sealed then the Don pulled the plug. We ended up getting Hooiveld. Anyone know where Jemal is these days?
  21. Raul Baena, 24, defensive midfielder, free transfer from Espanyol according to The Sun. "SOUTHAMPTON want to sign Spanish defensive midfielder Raul Baena on a free. Baena, 24, can leave Espanyol where he played under Mauricio Pochettino. The Saints boss wants competition for Morgan Schneiderlin and Jack Cork." Article from 2010 - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1322319/Arsenal-keeping-tabs-Espanyol-midfielder-Jose-Raul-Baena.html
  22. Will be big for us next season but for €18m, I'd take it and reinvest.
