  1. Did people not realise his potential last season when he was one of Blackpool's main attacking threats in the Championship during his 3 month loan? In the game at St Mary's he had the confidence to run and attack Richardson and also the confidence to shoot from 20 yards out and it squirmed through Bart's legs. Looked very good that day and after a slow 2nd part of last season and 1st part of this, seems to be developing into a top top player. I think a full season at Championship level next season would do him the world of good confidence wise (weaker full backs, weaker goalkeepers etc)
  2. Should be the same as the JPT where you have to play a certain number of regular first teamers (is it 6??)
  3. Without doubt it would cost an absolute fortune but imagine the marketing possibilities they could do with it. People could buy the programme at the stadium on their phones and take part in polls, watch replays etc, but you could charge fans for access to the wifi / features on the apps. Expensive, yes, but plenty of ways to make money out of it.
  4. I predict bold stripes. e.g 2 / 3 stripes similar to this Saints kit: but with red being the predominant colour and a white middle stripe as I think that is the way Cortese wants us to go. However, I would be more than happy to continue using the pinstripes in some form as it makes us different to every other striped club in the Premier League. By the way, has anyone considered horizontal stripes? With QPR and Reading leaving the league, this opens up a potential marketing opportunity with red and white hoops?
  5. Two that I have seen a do think might be used could well be the Vancouver WhiteCaps and the Montreal kits. Both Adidas, very smart and could fit our style (both obviously in Red as primary colour with white 2nd colour). Vancouver WhiteCaps Home Kit 2012-2013 http://www.whitecapsfc.com/news/2013/02/vancouver-whitecaps-fc-launch-mls-primary-kit Montreal Home Kit 2012-2013 As you all know, I love kit mockups so will be doing a few when the new templates for next seasons kits come out to see what they look like.
  6. It's happening at Man City. http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/club-news/2013/may/etihad-stadium-wifi St Mary's NEEDS this. The signal is crap. Can't even send texts on Vodafone in the Itchen. Crap.
  7. @premierleague: "I'm probably going to have to scare my players in some way!" Paolo di Canio on #SAFC's huge match against #SaintsFC http://t.co/4XGZ8qLJrp
  8. No need to panic. According to Nixon we are looking for "@reluctantnicko: Defender or two. Midfield strong man."
  9. @J_Klinsmann: Congrats to JOZY scoring and winning the Dutch Cup title!! Way to go JOZY!! #JozyAltidore #USMNT
  10. Try translating this @tancredipalmeri: Southampton's target Astori in the middle of hijacking from Milan, which today asked him officially to Cagliari, according to Sky Italy Something along the lines of Milan hijacking our deal after today going to Cagliari with an official enquiry?
  11. Predicted a defeat here ages ago but i'm in 2 minds. Will wait to make a final prediction after their game Monday night v Stoke. Here's what I hope for going on todays performance and recent weeks.
  12. It's something along the lines of This is what it's like to be Pompey This is what it's like to be poor. You signed Whittingham We've signed Pochettino Pochettino Pochettino That's what I can gather. Stand to be corrected.
  13. Agree. Been woeful of late. We're better when he doesnt play. Punch should be in every game going on form.
  14. Looks like we've missed out on Astori and Nainggolan. They're both expected to sign for Napoli in the coming weeks. Big shame. I desperately wanted Astori. @SerieAFFC: Nainggolan and Astori sign deals with Napoli: Napoli have long been admires of Cagliari players Rad... http://t.co/8ZLiz0UE68 @serieaffc http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2013/05/nainggolan-and-astori-sign-deals-with-napoli/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  15. We said the same about a certain Gaston Ramirez...
  16. I know it's a short article but The Daily Mail tonight reporting we want Wanyama for £10m after watching him last weekend against Motherwell http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2319108/Celtic-midfielder-Victor-Wanyama-watched-Southampton.html
  17. Don't get your hopes up, I don't think he's ever predicted any team to score at least 3 goals in a game. Every game is 2-0 2-0 2-0 2-1 2-0 etc
  18. Wanyama would be a top signing for either the CB or CM position. Hooper would also add goalscoring quality up top.
  19. Thank you. Clyne was just as bad as Fox today. Yoshida's worst game in a Saints shirt also I think. Poor distribution and didn't win much in the air.
  20. Im not defending him and I agree he isn't good enough, but there were worse players out there today and in the last few games. For someone who has sat out the majority of games this season with little to no confidence, and lack of match practice, to get thrown in at the deep end, he has done ok. What more do you want from him? As others have said, to get a quality left back to come in and sit behind Shaw won't happen.
  21. He did absolutely nothing wrong all afternoon until that rush of blood.
  22. And forgot to say, Forren at LB next week?
  23. Shocked. Never got going but WBA ensured we didn't get going. Nullified us brilliantly with the direct play. I've said it before and I'll say it again, how Hooiveld gets in that team is beyond me. Nowhere near good enough. Fox did OK until the sending off. Ramirez was unlucky to be fair if you analyse the situation. If the ref had stopped the play back on the halfway line when the pulling started, then he would've never had the chance to elbow him. however, i don't condone what he did and it was idiotic. Steve Davis was our best player. Lallana - utter tripe. Too many sub standard performances. We need to find a way of playing direct and into the channels to frustrate teams who know our main game plan. We need to pick ourselves up - and quickly. It was just one of them days. Lets move on and not dwell on it.
  24. No chance. He's being used as bait in Chelsea's deal for Falcao.
  25. What is to stop us doing it? In 2010/2011, Newcastle came up and finished 12th. Then in 2011/2012, second season back and after a productive summer transfer window (Santon, Cabaye, Obertan, Marveaux, Ba,) and then adding only Cisse in January, they managed to finish 5th. Nothing to say a top 8 - top 6 finish isn't possible next season going by our current form and position in the form guide under Pochettino.
