What I said on the Pochettino thread, Cortese hasnt been around to sign off the Forren deal. He has signed and will be unveiled later today, at the news conference probably.

So, very similar to what I've been told by another journo this moring except he gathered it was happening today.

Not trying to be ITK here but... from what I've personally been told, in the last few minutes, by a journalist is that this is unfortunately true and it was all sorted this week by Cortese hence why we have taken a while to complete the Forren deal as Cortese has been unavailable to complete it. This journalist has heard from a couple of sources and is extremely confident that it is happening today. Shame really but I hope to God, I and my 'source' is incorrect.

I just dont understand how the manager of the first team at a football club has no idea if a player is close to signing? I know chairmen do the deals etc but he must surely be kept updated as things progress? Even us fans seem to know more than Nigel due to the 'leaks' from various Norwegian news sources.
