Don't wanna go off topic but I honestly think this will eventually happen.

So it does. Didn't see that one. Only saw the top one saying yellow card suspension.
-
Yep, suspended for the game v Lazio http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.cagliaricalcio.net/home.html
-
According to this there is no suspension and it must be pretty up-to-date due to the discussion on the right hand side regarding his potential move here. Who knows? Might hear more after their game tomorrow. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/davide-astori/profil/spieler_87210.html

After looking into it a bit more, I think he may be suspended actually but not sure.

Astori left out of Cagliari squad for tomorrow nights game v Lazio.

Takes a solid penalty by the look of it! http://youtu.be/KrHONGbRb2o

Napoli officials are reportedly meeting with Siena on Monday to finalise a deal to sign their CENTRE BACK, Neto. Think they have pulled out of this one and its down to us to close this deal ASAP and move on.
-
From a Serie A analyst on Twitter. Seems this could be an extremely good signing (if it happens) going by all the reports! @jackrathborn: Southampton in for Cagliari's Davide Astori, some smart scouts at that club, big upgrade on what they have #Saints @jackrathborn: @KristianSFCoake he's excellent, former Milan youth product, and should've returned to them last summer. Would walk into their XI now.
-
@dankiz1: @reluctantnicko @markreeves999 joining Fulham apparently @reluctantnicko: @dankiz1 That would come as a surprise @reluctantnicko: @northamsoul7 Price was silly in summer. Now a buyer's market. And u r still a potential buyer. @reluctantnicko: @markreeves999 Only one buyer in town right now. Southampton. Clearly he would fancy Liverpool or Everton if they were in a place to bid.
-
Nixon still adamant we are after Butland. Would really surprise me if he does join.

@SimonPeach: Martin Jol says reports #FFC are the English side in talks with Molde's Vegard Forren are "not true".
-
@SimonPeach: Lots of speculation as to the English club Molde are in talks with over Vegard Forren. Reportedly it's #FFC but I'm told it probably isn't.

Yeah, there should be plenty of links for this one. http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=185113&part=sports

Nixon re: Adkins comments today and Butland. reluctantnicko: @gregvul Again. That would be odd considering a call and meeting that has gone on this week.
-
Ignore me - for the time being! reluctantnicko: @danbsfc There is a Southampton interest. But there is NO deal as we speak. Pass that on.
-
reluctantnicko: @danbsfc Think reality is that Southampton have the money and the interest to do it now. Liverpool and Everton only have the interest. Also forgot to mention this earlier today. We jumped from 3rd or 4th to odds-on favourites to sign Butland in this window. Bookies don't often get things wrong.
-
Agree. Summer was the wrong the time. Price started relatively cheap then rocketed after Olympics and Euros. Half a season experience behind him at a good level, getting plenty of practice (poor Brum defence) and now just may the right time to jump in and steal him at the cheapest price yet. In the summer, he'll be in high demand with a full season at Champ level under his belt, potentially more call ups to the England set up and Birmingham potentially in League 1 and admin if they continue the way they're going. He could be even cheaper then but would be too risky waiting that long as so many top clubs will be interested and we wouldnt stand a chance. Seems quite a similar deal to Sturridge at Liverpool. Wanted him in summer, price was too much, tried loan, waited until January, slightly cheaper and would've been in high demand in summer for even cheaper price most probably. January can be a very good transfer window but clubs often get their pants pulled down by selling clubs.
-
I know its only Twitter blah blah blah but alot of people (not agents, not reporters.) tweeting that we've signed him or are very close to signing him. Don't know how genuine or valid but thought I'd post and provide an update. In a way, I do want him but dont want him because of lack of experience and wont add to squad at the moment.

From what I can gather about the situation is that in the next 2/3 days, we will be going in with an offer of €10m which will be too much for Napoli to bid against. Be interesting to see how this one develops. Seems a bit pricey for my liking if I'm honest with you but if it gets us £90m+ next season of PL TV money then go for it.
