This statement isn't particularly informative in and of itself. Italians distrust their national government and parliament far more than they do the EU and the euro.

Shhhhhh....dont spill your trade secrets pal.

So that means as long as he gets the first touch, however contested and uncontrolled, it counts as an aerial duel won? Must admit I haven’t seen him win many clean headers.

Elitist.

He’s an extra from Jurassic Park according to the hipsters and forum intellectuals here.

Not what happened yesterday. Sims and Tadic switched quite frequently and Sims was taking up the no.10 position.

Which would explain our fast start...

Don't go all SOG on us.

Almost turned out to be a great assist for Romeu - killed the ball dead for him

Throw in the fact that our season has resembled a frog being slowly boiled alive - there hasn't been a huge or dramatic collapse that would provoke a reaction. Thus we've only lost two fewer games than Arsenal. It goes without saying that we've drawn too many games. Of course, you'd hope that the drab style of play and the fact that MP has shown little to no learning, elusive a quality as it is, would be a wake up call; but no doubt the club and a fair few supporters are looking at results and hoping we'll turn a corner and don't want to jeopardise that possibility. It also doesn't help that there are no specific targets for abuse - ironically Pellegrino is so pathetic and earnest that it's disabling to any kind of protest while Reed, Gao et al. are conspicuous by their absence.
-
In the Itchen North, there were boos directed at Pellegrino as well.

You don’t say. -
As said in the prematch, they have some big physical players at the back but are much more vulnerable down the flanks. Redmond and to a lesser extent Sims, supported by the fullbacks exploited this weakness. Think they would have struggled against Long -Carrillo was food and drink for their CBs. Woeful, insipid first half and they arguably had the better chances. With Crouch’s introduction, thought they were going to take control of the game, though we came out strong in the second half and had them under the cosh before they briefly rallied at the end. The lack of intensity in the side is disturbing, not least because it’s entirely correctable. Yes we played much better in the second half but it was too little, too late for a game of this magnitude.

Trump now slapping tariffs on steel and aluminium. The US protectionist, nah, never. Maybe I'll read a Heritage report for a bit of escapism and entertainment

As long as no cheap and nasty pesticides make it across the irish border, you can fill your boots with barcodes, drones and oyster cards.

Think you're thinking of Jermaine Beckford.

Sheffield united at home the season we went into administration. Or maybe the football made seem worse than it was. Leeds away in 2009/10 season was pretty bad too. Barnsley away when we came from 2 down was pretty cold, though it was rainy as well.

So who made the bigger helmet of themselves today -Boris comparing the Irish border to the boundary between Westminster and Camden or Liam Fox and his packet of crisps? This is jihadism Four Lions-style.

I’m simply repeating what Barnier has stated, not what Keir Starmer’s towel boy, the quivering, clueless Barry Gardiner says. It’s very clear: as part of a customs union, the UK loses the ability to set its own trade policy (wrt goods) - it cannot set its own tariffs in bilateral trade deals with other countries and must accept whatever external tariff is set by the EU. It goes without saying that businesses trading in the customs union have to comply with EU regulations. But that’s true for any business, whether American, Chinese or Venezuelan that wants to export to the EU and would continue to be true if the UK crashed out without a deal onto WTO terms. If that’s your point, it’s beyond banal.
