  1. Economic sense? Adrianna- stay off the sangrias and G&Ts. You've been ratársèd today.
  2. Frankly if we're selling after his antics, we've lost half the battle, whether practically or symbolically. Selling to Liverpool would look only marginally worse in the grand scheme of things. For that, I'd rather take the extra cash.
  3. Would fit in well at some other unnamed clubs.
  4. His injury reminded him how fragile and fickle a football career is.
  5. Nearly 2500 viewing - the Scouse lurkers are out in force.
  6. Would go along with that. Do you think we'll bring in another CB, even if VVD stays? How long do you think it'll take to reintegrate into VVD into the side, assuming he stays? With the likely signing of Lemina, will we look to sell one of our midfielders to cut possible bloat? EDIT: Just seen VVD's bridge-burning statement.
  7. Possibly as a sub but not starting.
  8. How's everything Les?
  9. Decent value that - same as we paid for Bednarek. Guess wages are a bit different.
  10. Tel: 03009991212 Tell them that Merse sent you.
  11. Thank you sue.
  12. You're f**king off and VVD's planning on staying longer. Sounds like a win-win to me pal
  13. A word of general advice: don't trust anyone called dazza.
  14. Doesn't quite have the same ring.
  15. I picture you as more of a snorter, hirsute sue.
  16. He'll be quoting Sun Tzu like Nige next -and playing mind games over injuries. MLG approves.
  17. I've never seen any real evidence that the expected goals has any real predictive power by normal statistical standards. Spurs approach may be superficially similar (and certainly closer to us than the other big sides) but they still have spent money on players that we simply can't compete with. Everybody, even the moneybags of the division, wishes they had a Harry Kane in their Academy. We don't. Would Spurs have responded differently and bought big if they didn't. I bet they would have done. Claiming that luck and management are the only things separating us from Spurs is risible.
  18. To be fair, the africatopsports article also cItes RMC as being the source of the Saturday story -as opposed to the Sunday story linking the player to Stoke (none of those tweets you've linked are from today), suggesting they know the difference. Still think we're favourites to sign the player.
  19. Exactly. What are Stoke going to do? Sell Imbula on the basis of a radio story, even though they are infinitely more informed about the ins and outs of the transfer?
  20. Anyone know how credible Radio Monte Carlo (RMC) is?
  21. Nah. In Les We Trust.
  22. What guff. So the only things that separates us from Spurs is the quality of management and a fair wind?
  23. Thanks for this. V.useful info. Seems like we've got a decent player- not overtly physical in the Wanyama mould but a busy, energetic player who's good on the ball and willing to drive forward. For all Romeu's strengths in breaking up play and keeping possession under pressure, he tends to be a bit more static, so Lemina seems a good complement. I assume he'll cope with the power and pace of the premier league? Clasie and Hojbjerg have arguably struggled with that aspect so far.
