Was Plymouth a rival on FM?
-
And we convincingly beat them in their title-defence 2012/13 season while an injury-hit side outplayed them in their title-winning 2013/14 season.

May's refusing to participate in TV debates, so that's one consolation, though slightly odd coming from someone who's made this election about their 'leadership' and 'mandate'.
-
No Lord P. You seemed to have a problem that the one-eyed sweatie was unelected -alas you're projecting and assuming the opposition feels the same towards May. Again where's the evidence that every discussion has been about May's lack of an electoral mandate? Perhaps you're making things up again and are just a lily-livered apologist for a power grab by a control freak (not only against the opposition but also members of her own party). Nothing wrong with realpolitik, if you're that way inclined, though spare us the moralising horses**t. Likewise you think May's suddenly going to provide detail on her type of Brexit beyond facile platitudes when she's flatly refused to do so to date on the grounds that it would weaken her hand Or is your claim that she's omniscient and knows exactly what kind of deal she'll obtain after two years of complex, uncertain negotiations, even though negotiations haven't started yet Dream on, little kipper.
-
Every single discussion? Pony, Lord P. Think your personal hard-on for the Gordon Brown premiership is muddling your brain. Where 'mandate' has been invoked by the opposition, it has been in relation to the type of Brexit deal pursued, not the electoral credentials of the PM and would be levelled at whoever was pursing it, whether elected or not.
-
Pure cynicism. If it was anything to do with a mandate, she'd hold an election or a referendum on the final Brexit deal once voters had a clearer idea what they were voting for.

Which begs the question whether we are going to sign one ot two CBs in the summer.
-
Agree. The earlier Times article pretty much summed up KL's position: we need additional investment to cement our position as a top-ten Premier League club. Open question is whether this summer will be business as usual i.e. transfers funded by player sales and minimal spending on top of that or whether KL will retrench even further.

His passing is generally like that at the moment. It doesn't have much zip. It also requires the receiving player to take a touch to bring the ball under control rather than take it in his stride. He's better running with the ball - not sure he's suited to DM which in our setup puts a lot of emphasis on distribution skills. Rather he seems better suited higher up the pitch.

Not quite true roger. We actually sat very deep and absorbed tons of pressure and Liverpool possession in the first 20mins of the cup game. Redmond's goal changed things -as we were perhaps hoping for yesterday. But it remains that Puel has never gone out on the front foot against a quality opposition - the cup final against United is perhaps the closest example (and the opening period against Spurs in the home fixture).
-
Nonsense.

Yoshida was marking Kompany for the first. That said, Kompany was climbing all over Yoshida.

You been on the ale?

Cue Jamie citing Les Reed that we have the best midfield in the league #matteroftime
-
Yet we've routinely got results and put in decent performances against them.

Davis and Hoj completely done

Davis playing the deepest of midfielders - working better than Hoj there
