  1. Nantes - PSG. Got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. A very long night ended up being taken under the wing of a bunch of shady and volatile PSG supporters.
  2. Very few cases actually go to court and everything is done to avoid it. Settlements are contract renogiations by other means - the fact that we go to the wire is probably down to last minute haggling. Obviously you have to go on a case by case basis - for example, what we don't know is how much NC/the club and Frannie settled for - that will give you a fair indication of where the rights and wrongs and respective responsibilities lie. The rest is just noise.
  3. That's a different issue -was discussing the issue of settling as if this indicates a cave-in by the club, an unwillingness to defend the club rigorously or perhaps a lack of confidence in its position (see earlier posts). Agree its odd that the spectre of legal action is again raised. Am under no illusions that NC is bit of a c**t but I put it down to him being penny wise pound foolish rather than him being consistently wrong on matters. Most settlements in being compromises suggest that there's responsibility on both sides.
  4. You do realise its very common for cases to be settled just before they go to court. In many cases, parties are encouraged to do everything they can to settle and will go to the wire, trying to thrash out a settlement. It's no different from the way many contracts are tied up at the eleventh hour. Going to court is often a way of forcing a settlement rather than an end in itself. It is and has always been a measure of last resort, leading to inefficient outcomes. Some of the views on this thread -not necessarily yours- are staggering.
  5. Standing in front of a clean swimming pool. Justice done.
  6. Wonder what Doris and the other wet fannies are making of it on the UI.
  7. Do you actually watch us play -or are you too busy trying to be proven right to the point where you happily engage in outright bulls**t. Incegate anyone? Do you actually take an interest in how our team plays in the real world, not in PC fantasia and where we might need to strengthen. If you have watched us this season and last, you'll know we're crying out for quality pace. We've tried to replace Oxo and repeatedly failed (Jrod is a start but he doesn't slot seamlessly into our formation). You'll also know that only Clyne regularly uses pace to beat a man so much so that in recent weeks, it's become surreal that we're relying on a defender to create chances and we've looked very pedestrian whenever Lambert isn't performing and/or we're not winning the ball high up the pitch. You'll also know that Spurs have pacey and powerful centre forwards that can lead the line (the lynchpin of a lot of teams) -the same cannot be said of Lambert regardless of his other qualities. Otherwise, please pipe down you tit.
  8. They don't press the way we do -and in the eyes of the footballing world, that's our standout trait.
  9. Johno quick and De Ridder are still on the books.
  10. They have much more pace in their team. As does Mayuka ...when he plays Your prize: a fistful of straws
  11. True - they have much more pace in the team than we do -and not only on the wings (cutting inside whatever). But that will change over the summer.
  12. Mayuka = CB?
  13. Yeh but this is slightly different. It's not right after the game - he wasnt asked about us. it's said in a totally different context - could have mentioned any team to support his argument.
  14. If you think this thread is neurotically long, Sunderland's equivalent is on its 130th page (well 1294 posts).
  15. Ha ha dopey c vnt. Same old glasgow...
  16. Not going to stay 1-1
  17. A draw should see us safe. It will probably mean that Sunderland have to beat Spurs to overtake us. V.unlikely.
  18. A win against Sunderland will see us safe. Even a draw should be enough, meaning that regardless of the Stoke result, Sunderland will have to get a result at Spurs -and most probably have to beat them.
  19. Stoke are garbage - cant retain any kind of possession. Going to invite more and more pressure.
  20. Wish we had that kind of delivery -not the wafty floaters or wild outswingers we've seen most of the season.
  21. Fair enough though seen much less in the nationals -at least compared to walcott and oxo.
  22. No problem with him celebrating -but he's a thick c vnt, thicker than either Walcott or Oxo. Check his interviews and he rarely acknowledges his time with us. Says something about his self-awareness, of where he's come from and what's contributed to his success.
  23. Didn't catch any of the news or interviews - does anyone know what's up with Morgan? Will he be back for Sunderland? Just seen the other thread - feel free to delete this one.
