  1. No we didn't convince (though we turned things around relative to Xmas) but why is that down to NA-NC's relationship - not say pressure, us overachieving all season, a thin squad and injuries, Reading's blistering form etc etc. On your reasoning, I guess West Ham's series of draws was also due to off the field division?
  2. What? And those defeats were due to NA and NC falling out? Rather than us being flat track bullies and simply not as good as we thought we were? Im perfectly happy with that as explanation for our form at the end of the season but that's got nothing to do with off the field issues. Well played sunshine for managing to contrad yourself in the space of a few sentences Read your post again, take a long deep breath and relax.
  3. Seriously, you're responsible for some mongboard, tin hat gems but that's priceless.
  4. I love how every thread opens with 'if the rumours are true...'. What happens if they are untrue?
  5. Good to hear, though that's not what some on here have been insinuating i.e. bizarre suggestion that NC singlehandedly brought in Guly and forces managers to play him. Its the same people who start threads like this.
  6. And? I didnt say we started our first XI - we threw on first teamers when we had to chase it. I thought we played OK -not great- that night against a full-strength Palace side and we were unlucky to lose inspite of Forte.
  7. Agree totally. Fact is we overachieved last season and that counts for more than two months' struggles this season.
  8. And play what? We've looked worse in a 4-4-2 which has seen us lose the midfield and get overrun. Nothing is ideal -its a case of playing the least worst formation. FWIW, I'm not opposed to 4-4-2 but only at home against teams that wont pass us off the park. But many will, including Wigan.
  9. If Reed is paid a lot, he should be held responsible for others mistakes...which slightly contradicts your point.
  10. Though we played half-OK at Palace. We also threw on first teamers when we had to chase the game.
  11. No. But the CEO is paid megabucks in order to take responsibility for others mistakes.
  12. The only player played out of position for 4-3-3 is Jrod but its not as if we don't have alternatives when Ramirez is fit. And even then, 4-3-3 has done a better job than 4-4-2. In terms of our other players, they would struggle regardless the formation -4-3-3, 4-4-2 whatever. But see my earlier why this can't just be pinned on the transfer committee.
  13. That's another issue. I was specifically talking about formations. FWIW, I have more time for arguments that we f**ked up in the window. Its plain to see. We did, though until the facts come to light, its unclear how far the transfer committee is responsible and how far circumstance i.e. the difficulties faced by a newly promoted side to recruit quality is responsible for this failure. Clearly the transfer committee can't wash its hands of responsibility but there are also good mitigating circumstances which are either ignored or discounted each time people call for heads.
  14. Exactly - refreshing to hear him speak directly, though it is very rare.
  15. We went through this last time - Adkins has been a long-time believer in 4-3-3, utilising it at Scunny during the season he kept them up in the NPC - and arguably the decision to go with 4-3-3 has been vindicated this season. Each time we've tried something else, we've looked much worse. We 'have a policy' is Adkinspeak for f**k off, its none of your business. If you are resorting to interpreting Adkinspeak literally , perhaps I had you wrong and you are a bit on the dim side.
  16. If you keep sidestepping inconvenient facts, you're either incredibly dim or trying to fit things - the latter being the textbook definition of having an agenda. Nope?
  17. Turkish is everyone He's got as much of an agenda as anyone.
  18. So 4-4-2 worked on Sunday then? No it was an utter shambles. And we've been switching it around this season -you either choose or fail not to see it. Its no different from the NPC where we played a diamond the majority of the time, only occasionally switching to 4-4-2. Indeed, when NA did tinker, everyone was in uproar i.e. Donny away. Indeed there were murmurings that the players were also uncomfortable with the chopping and changing. Keep plodding along, though. Don't let get it in the way of your agenda...
  19. Changing your tune - you've always pinned it on Cortese. Cortese not happy that Guly didnt start at Bristol Rovers blah blah blah. Reed had to talk NC out of sacking NA blah blah blah. The list goes on and on.
  20. FFS Trousers/Bill Murray...where are you.

    Nige

I've heard the Norwich Swansea justification but that's totally different from a wholesale assertion that the quality of the NPC at the top is the same as the bottom half of the prem.

Have you got Tourettes or something? I know the mongboard has said a lot of daft and priceless things in its time but I can't honestly remember anyone saying this. And if they did, it was hardly in the numbers to make it mongboard wisdom/legend.
  23. In other words, exactly the same team/system that started against Arsenal.

    Best team?

Our fortunes have nothing to do with changes in personnel. It's called lack of confidence stemming from losing all the time. And that line-up is a recipe for both.
