  1. Too many to mention: Velvet Underground, Joy Division, JAMC, Talk Talk, The Fall, Talking Heads, Pavement, Wilco, Autechre, Radiohead, Smog, Massive Attack, Wu Tang Clan....
  2. Even arry thinks so.
  3. ....shhhh.
  4. City ground is a good place to make noise - regardless of the circumstance. In recent times, can't remember us louder anywhere than the final day of 2008/09 season. Still remember the 1996/97 season when we did them 3-1 in what was a proper 6-pointer. Cracking atmosphere that day.
  5. Tadanari woah Tadanari woah He cant tell l from r but he's a f**kin star. Or anything else that rhymes with l or r. Playful not offensive.
  6. That's what I gather, though didn't enquire into the ins and outs. What he made clear is that he didn't have a cat in hell's chance of being ready for Forest (and that was early last week).
  7. More complicated than that - I think clubs are willing to pay more than they are currently offering for Punch but are trying to exploit the fact that we want rid. They're perfectly entitled to do but so are we quite justified to hold out, knowing that when push comes to shove, they might pay a bit more. Of course, it helps nobody - least of all Punch but when he has mattered.
  8. Bit of a change of tone from the Brighton game - he seemed pretty confident in the post-match interview that there would be new faces in for Forest.
  9. Deffo - enjoyed the 3-1 more. Should have been out of sight first half - Rickie's stupendous shot from the half way line that hit the cross bar is still a highlight. They pulled a goal back and made things hairy before DC's finish in front of our lot settled it. Not enough of those ebb-and-flow games in L1 - one of the main reasons I couldn't wait for us to get out it.
  10. And was on a hat-trick
  11. Unlikely, anything will be done before Forest...his words. Agree though. Needed to change things even before Lambert's suspension and we can't afford to keep pi $$ing away points.
  12. Nothing of the sort - PWC, the accountants, have attempted to quantify the BBC effect - the added prestige and audience you get for working for the organisation which can be cashed in on in lots of different ways. They worked out the BBC can pay employees 30% less -and sometimes even less- than other media outfits simply because its good for the CV and career to be associated with the Beeb.
  13. Fletcher wasn't too bad for Burnley and now Wolves.
  14. True but means f**k all. They can't compete on what really matters: salaries and quality of football.
  15. His interview is Thursday.
  16. With all the injuries etc, the Steelers last drive showed how they huffed and puffed all game. Any other season, they would have driven the ball to FG range and killed the Broncos off rather than end up losing yards. 50+ yards is nothing up there.
  17. Anyone actually put money where their mouths are and given up a job, a bit of work for Saints?
  18. Agree - its not exactly a leftfield name but its still pretty far out there. Don't know how much time and cost is required to make a proper enquiry; but it can't be negligible. As such can't believe we would be f**king about on a whim.
  19. 500K to decode what you're saying?
  20. Have seen Top Gear in other countries -and Clarkson seems much less important to the brand than he is in the UK. More emphasis is put on the show as a whole and if anyone person gets the attention its, surprisingly, James May. Quite a few of his spin-off shows are also aired in the US. ....btw I would have the Dalai Lama summoned in front of a Chinese firing squad for liking Top Gear. All in good humour of course.
  21. It'll take £7m to get him - can't see us stumping that up.
  22. Leicester could wrap Sharp up by the weekend, if not by wednesday: https://twitter.com/#!/paulgoodwinDFP http://twitter.com/#!/StringerSport As well being BBC leicester's equivalent of adam blackmore, stringer was a div on the apprentice a few years ago.
  23. Agree - much more life around London Bridge/Borough.
  24. Yeh watched it - strange game after such a one-sided first quarter. Didn't think Denver or Tebow had it in their locker to the air ball out and thought Pittsburgh would have learned, having barely survived the second quarter, not to keep committing so many to stopping run or blitzing. But fair play to the Broncos - they have an awesome offensive line. Mixed feelings that the Steelers have gone out - no love lost for them but think they would have given NE a tougher job. Can't see the freak show rolling past next week. When was the last time I said that?
