I’m OK with the goalkeeper rosta, the wing-back first choices are fine - the rest useless, the defensive midfield doesn’t have a competent first starter - Downes and Les would be adequate back-up, none of the CB’s are good enough as first starters - THB and ABK are OK as backups, none of the wingers are good enough as first starters - Dibling maybe ok as a backup youngster learning his trade, Fernandes is OK as a starter - Aribo OK as a backup - the rest useless, none of the so called strikers are good enough in the Prem - if we’re looking ahead to the Championship then Archer or BBD might be useful. 😔 Not too many of that lot are of a level befitting a bottom half Prem team or even a top half Championship team. That combined with 2nd rate Managers have put us where we are and if both elements do not receive decisive effective action in the summer, I think we’ll be sinking into the lower level of the Championship playing catch-up for the rest of the season. And our encounters with the blue phew will be much more squeaky bum games than we’d like. 😬

Yep, even Dibling and KWP are a shadow of what we’ve seen previously. Nothing has changed - massive re-build to be done in the summer starting with Juric etc. moving on quickly to 95% of the 1st team.

All these players have been chosen to play tippy tappy out from the back possession football. They are not good enough to do that in the Prem and they’re not good enough to do anything else either.

It’s not weird to include KL in the finger pointing. The rot started on her watch…it’s equally true that SR have compounded that over and over, but that doesn’t remove her culpability. The one positive remaining is that somehow the fanbase appears to be resilient so far with incredible away numbers still being seen - bloody hero’s. It’ll be a different story when ST’s go on sale for next season.

What worries me most now is the clear capitulation by Juric. He’s lost his way entirely, looks defeated and has no idea where to go to get a tune out this squad of strangers (by definition you can’t call them a team). The players are going to be utterly demoralised as well as not good enough. Can see a bloodbath this evening. 7-0. There I called it - will be delighted to be proven wrong…i.e. we score a goal or two and the GD is less than 3.

But it was KL and her team that didn’t do sound due diligence on Gao - she set us up for decline and make no mistake, it’s not over yet.

She sold the club out to Gao, which was misguided. End of…you can’t change history to suit your own agenda.

The Chelsea presser was embarrassing to watch. Juric is defeated and has no way forward - that’s why he’s falling back on the only method/system he’s got in his kit bag.

It’s all very hindsight now of course, but KL (or her advisers) did a terrible job finding a majority owner / investor in Gao. And it could be argued that by retaining the share that she did, it was incumbent on her to take back control of the club when Gao’s interest failed. At the point SR took over, while much damage had already been done, it was at that time a recoverable position. SR have come in and made error after error, to the point where it’s difficult to see how a turnaround will be brought about. I fear that we’ve not seen the last of SR’s incompetence or the bottom of the pit in terms of SFC’s fortunes. It’s going to be a massively important summer.

Interesting that no-one has yet commented on Kat L and her selling off of her Fathers legacy. Let’s face it she passed the baton to the Chinese idiot who had less money to splash than Dragan/SR and so it could be argued that everything good that was built during Markus’s era was slowly but surely eroded at that moment, from the Acedemy to the black box to the scouting network to the 1st team squad to the quality of manager. So yes, it could be said that Kat has set the club on a path of failure from the moment she sacked Cortese etc. Markus was our saviour, but should she be held accountable as the ‘Kat-ylist’ of our decline. 😔
