Fantastic day. Nervy but so enjoyable! Russ certainly knows how to beat Farke. I’ve just bought a 75” TV to watch the Premier league games next season. Funny…there was no Leeds included! 🤣

Think the point is that it’s not what City / Saints do, it’s how the oppo team sets up and plays to nullify the system. Utd did it it really well…kept their shape and dominated midfield. City couldn’t find a way to pass the ball quickly enough through the lines. If Leeds do a similar thing we’ll lose.

I’m watching the FA Cup, purely from the point of view that City’s style is so similar to ours but with top players. However, it’s worrying to see United 0-2 up at half-time with less of the possession. At a higher level obviously, it’s a concern that City are playing just like we might expect Saints to play…slow build up with little penetration into the oppo defence and getting done on the break. I hope Russ makes sure we take charge and provide their defenders much to think about.

I’d not be adverse to meeting any of you…even Turkish 😉….but I’ll be in a local restaurant/bar getting my fill, although I am driving so can’t over indulge.

Tickets turned up in the post today…phew! Now to start getting excited.

Also, be aware that there have been significant diversions on the M25 recently. I was in Ruislip last Friday evening and didn’t get home until 3am thanks to two M25 section night closures.

Absolutely - at the stage of career he’s at, he’s done very well to maintain a well paid secure role. Whenever I’ve seen him he hardly looks miffed - on the contrary.

I managed to get two tickets in the end, but what a complete nightmare the booking system was. Firstly, using the online system on a phone is terrible…slow and the zoom function almost useless. Then after choosing the seats and trying to pay it failed three times using my debit card. Only worked using my Visa Credit card eventually. I’ve got an email confirmation and it’s showing in my purchase history, so I can only assume it’s all gone through ok and two tickets will arrive in the post between now and the weekend. They’ve got their work cut out!

I’m intrigued about the ordering site address… ‘peak45.secutix.com’. Wonder what the 45 means - certainly not the waiting time in minutes!!! Could be peak for 5 hours? 🤣😩

Doesn’t that put you back in the queue?

I’m not to be fair. The whole legibility time thing is quite confusing…suggests that from say 12.30pm it’s ok to order, but really what it’s saying is you can get in the queue at that time, but no guarantee that you’ll be able to order a ticket. Basically lying to customers to maintain demand.

Now at 48 minutes - I’m assuming that this time (given it’s 1pm), I should be able to see an order button.

Yep and me. Very frustrating to have to go through the waiting room process to then find you can’t order. Then the waiting room time jumps from 1 hour 25 mins to 2 hours 15 minutes. I’m almost resigned to watching on TV now. 😏😩

True - I was there and agree it could have made a difference.

Nor me. And I can’t believe we’re only getting 36k tickets - we had 50k+ at the Johnstons Paint Trophy final! At this rate the chances of a ticket are receding rapidly.

Unfortunately I understand that Baz is very well thought of at the club and he’ll almost certainly be our no.1 still whatever the result of Sundays final. Shocking I know.

WTF? Just managed to get into the waiting room to be told I’ll be re-directed to the Soton FC website in 1hour 6 minutes!

Not certain I’ll be able to get ticket…fingers crossed.
