Can’t see Ross S being played CF unless he comes on later for Che - more likely. RM played him oh the right wing if I remember rightly and he looked somewhat lost in that position, so let’s hope that doesn’t happen but I wouldn’t surprised by any weird formation he dreams up to be fair. If he’s got any sense he’ll play some youngsters and save the more experienced players for the high pressure of the play-offs (which we’ll lose). Can’t see our lads being anything like up for the fight at Elland Rd and it would serve our greater purpose to lose to Leeds, so expecting a careful, high percentage possession game as per usual with no goal threat, with Leeds doing us for pace and flair. 3-0 Leeds. Shame for the travelling fans.

Watching disjointed bits of the game thanks to streaming on a windy beach in Lanzarote. Why the fuck do I bother? Think the players are already on the beach and can’t see this rabble being roused to perform in the playoffs. Just horrible boring football to watch and very little expectation that we’ll score.

What does it matter? It’s going to be very very tough to get through to the final, then our bunch of bottlers somehow have to pull another miracle off. RM is not tactically astute enough to coach or set the team up for one important game, let alone a series of games.

The way I see it, RM has stated clearly that he is only interested in how we play…i.e. if we’re playing the possession game he’s happy because he thinks that’ll be enough to win a game. He’s seemingly blind to any adaption of his system. What I don’t see is evidence that there’s been an analysis of the weaknesses of the opposing team - you know, how we specifically target areas that will provide an advantage. For example, we all know Vestergard is a slow lumbering giant that can’t turn quickly but can be tempted into a foul potentially in the box. Did we do anything to put him under pressure and test him? Nope…let’s just try to play keep ball over and over so Leicesters game plan of closing us down and forcing poor passes wins the day. Is RM quite simply a fraud - an ex-player who’s read a few books and thinks he’s a master technician? I’ve not seen a great deal lately (since he’s been found out) to make me think otherwise.

Not so sure about that. He went in for the ball legally, but the Leicester player didn’t get out of the way quick enough so got his foot stamped on…it was accidental and the Ref had a good view of the challenge.

I would qualify that by saying Martin, his system and tactics were outclassed. He doesn’t know how to deliver a ‘Man City’ system with a team that doesn’t have the quality to deliver it or anything like it.

My word. If RM can’t take full responsibility for that shambles then he’s lost the dressing room and the playoffs already.
