Having a fair few of my lads from grassroots currently with Pompey and a very short stint working for their foundation, I will be very surprised if they are awarded category 2, they don't even dominate their own catchment area for youth. Chelsea, Saints and Bournemouth are more active down here with Spurs working Winchester. Pompeys set up is laughing stock, primadonna coaches who think they are gods gift.

What do you make of the proposal? Will it be beneficial to clubs as well as our Saints? My personal opinion is that the FL clubs such as Tranmere, Crewe and Wycombe have had a gun held to their head by PL clubs. I've got no idea where this could leave the likes of Saints, Palace and Watford as we will be awarded category one status due to our track record and current development programmes but the smaller clubs will be receiving £200k max for a player that could earn them £1m? More worryingly as a coach who wants to work professionally in youth development, I have no idea where it will leave me, as bigger clubs take on more staff, smaller clubs will gradually scrap their academies. Luckily I am at a club who this won't effect but my plan once I've finished my UEFA B licence this year was to move from my PT role into a FT academy role, potentially at a smaller club such as Watford, Palace or Bournemouth. It does have its benefits, merging more football related studies and school work, as we'll as funding.

Managed to have Plymouth occupy the top six for the opening 10 games but for it to come crushing down on our heads and lingering 17th after 15 games. Some brilliant results like crushing Leeds 6-1 at Elland Road. Which forced 11th placed Blackburn to offer me the job with a £16m war chest and cracking squad in which I took. I ended up taking Daniel Boateng with me for 500k and brought in Saints leader scorer James Vaughan. It was with out doubt my best achievement as I would go the rest of the season unbeaten with a win percentage of 88%, However loosing one game atvEdwood Park, 3-0 to, yep you guessed it, Saints who ran away with the league. We secured second place and promotion back to the PL. more surprisingly, we was handed an easy route to the FA semis to a game with PL Newcastle, which we pinched with 10 men 3-2 in ET. We lost the final to Liverpool 3-1 but I didn't care we got back!

Currently on FM 12: taking Plymouth to the championship with back to back promotions. £2million in the red, reduced the contracts of Larrieu, Fletcher and Walton. Brought in Wayne Jacobs as assistant and created a tie with Leicester City who loaned me Oakley, Moussa, Ball and Schlupp through out the season. Signed Bolasie back on loan from Brizzle City and Onar Koroma on a free. Picked up the JPT in our first season, crushing Preston 3-0. FA Cup last 16 lost 5-2 away to Newcastle and out round three of LC to Brighton. Main objective of promotion was achieved ar Home Park, claiming the league title with a 1-0 over Rotherham. Raised £2.6m with summer friendlies and competition money. Season two: After winning the league, I kept the majority of the squad together, re-signing Bolasie on a SLL. Stole Lee Novak for £20k and Arsenal's Daniel Boateng. We hosted 4 more mega bucks friendlies even beating decentish Spurs 4-1!!! The bank was looking better with £3.8m and £8k spare on the WB. JPT defence finished early with a loss to Swindon. Battled through out with Sheffield Utd for top spot but eventually slipped away and ended up in play-offs. Beat Huddersfield 4-3 on agg. With a 93rd minute winner from Novak, to set up a return to Wembley in the final with Blackpool. Plymouth ran the game with ease and secured promotion with a 2-0 win! Unfortunately, earlier on in the season I lost Curtis Nelson to Swansea for £600k and a 45% sell on fee! So brought in Peter Clarke from Huddersfield along with Brazilian regen Xuxhina. Season three: Was given £1m to spend, so in came Yves Mala Kalambay, Michael Johnson, Fraizer Campbell, John Bostick and Ryan Taylor all on freebies and not one player on more than £16k. More importantly we have discovered 16 year old Alfie Shearer via our academy who will leave a season later for £3m to Wigan.

Like the idea behind it but realistically, with him only moving out there in the summer. I'd be very surprised.

It's only a rumour stop crying about it. I only posted it as it came from someone at work who I did'nt know very well on a personal level and he seemed very shocked himself at it. Some of you get yourselves 'at it' way to easily. It's an internet forum, you've spent enough time trolling on this thread so stop playing up to it. Its a rumour, from a random yet creditable source who doesnt need to waste his breath or time talking 'bull****' when he works full time at a PL club. I fully accept this as one of the most ridiculous rumours ever , please don't get this confused FFS.

Saints are keeping an eye on Portsmouth's Sam Magri. Rod Ruddick has been spotted at games on numerous occasions. JWP link may come in handy, the lads played together when younger along with my brother in law.

completely understand the ********** scent this has thrown up, the only reason I thought I would share this is because of the nature of conversation and whereabouts this rumour came from as he did not know that I supported Saints, he doesn't support Saints and he had mentioned the Danish scout which I found odd:/

Also by Dortmund, Bayern, PSG and Newcastle.
-
Being told by another colleague that he has a very reliable source that we have made a rather shocking and bold bid for FC Basle star Xherdan Shaqiri. Just passing on the info and yes I do realise how unlikely this would be, however this rumour comes from another club.

Your allowed three over the age of 23, I was lead to believe.

Obviously with our red and white tinted glasses, is there a possibility we could see one of these in the GB squad after the FA have confirmed no players participating in EURO 2012 will not be allowed to play for team GB. Who would you have?
-
Snodgrass and Billy Sharp.
-
Zidane, Pele or Le Tiss. Can not pick one!
-
Being a Saints fan living in Pompey working for Chelsea, that is an ideal draw!!

When will we get electronic advertising boards?
