  1. Someone at home, we draw 0-0, this board goes into meltdown and Alpine announces all his worst fears are true... A load of people who previously supported Pardew lie and pretend they were against him from the start. Another load say that Cortese is at fault and point to too much pressure being applied and team requiring time to gel. Most of us sigh and put it down to our appalling record on the opening day of the season. And eight months later we win the league by 20 points.
  2. When you show it like that, we should win this league by 25 points!
  3. Style? What are you, a sales rep for Schwarzkopf??!!!
  4. Ditto, the f u cking world is full of them. It's about time some of them grew up and grew some fu cking balls got off the internet and GOT A F U CKING LIFE!
  5. The challenge for many people is that they are short on cash, the owner is not. The club chose not to have a sponsor and instead charge the club's fans £3 per ticket to buy one... We stoppped people who can't afford a lump sum payment from buying tickets over instalments... Hmm, and people can't see that this might not be welcomed with open arms?? The price of success for me is that in a couple of years I will go back to being an armchair fan, not because I can't afford it, but because I have no inherent desire to fund Joey Barton's racehorses or sit next to someone who thinks Ted Bates used to present 3-2-1...
  6. Then you're fecking mental.
  7. Bloody hell, I'm a Tory through and through but this kind of attitude is what got us a bad name. "More transparent??" Windows are fecking transparent mate and that's all. This is a fiddle. A fix. A bad apple. If you need to cover your costs and make a bigger margin, grow some fecking bol locks and put your prices up. That's how it used to be, that's how it should be. Every time someone tells me they've changed pricing structure for my benefit. Guess what?? That's right, it costs me more fecking money!!! Hell's bells, I lived my life making a profit. It's how the wealth countless governments have spunked away has been created! But you cannot buy a pig, dress it in clover and call it a fairy. It's a fecking pig! Rant over...
  8. Members of public want something for nothing shocker...
  9. LOL - what a brilliant idea. I am actually all up for this. Right then, we'd like to buy 3,211 tickets... hahahahah!!
  10. Which is me, which is totally bonkers. It is now more expensive for me to buy in advance than come and pay on the day... Right, so which business/marketing guru dreamt that up... For the record: Racing - advance tickets cheaper than on the day tickets Cricket - advance tickets cheaper than on the day tickets Concerts - ditto... shall I go on? This is a sensible business proposition when supply is greater than demand, encourages people to make their purchasing decisions earlier, boosts cashflow, minimises risks associated with last-minute decision making, etc. It is surely also cheaper for the club for me to buy from a machine than a blonde - albeit I like the blonde If you're forcing me to make a decision on the day, that could be scuppered by the weather, my previous night out, the missus.... I'm not against a booking fee per se, but to use one in this way is feckwittery of the highest order, unless I am missing something obvious? (Which does happen now I'm 40).
  11. A 23 bit Ipad? Is that the cheap low memory version Jobs has been talking about?
  12. Which only proves what PT Barnum said.
  13. As you have regularly proven. LOL!!!!!!!
  14. I hope you appreciated mine was at least ironic!!! (But you could probably guess that from the other posts).
  15. It's more than a missed trick Steve, it's incompetence. A client of mine was struggling for subscription renewals of £130 a year, paid annually. They introduced a £15 a month DD and subcription renewals rose by over 40%... In fact some dead people renew regularly... Ok the last bit is in poor taste, but the point is valid. You pay £20 a month, you never miss it...
  16. It is a very strange decision not to offer direct debit, for example, then people would simply renew without thinking - never mind an instalment plan. It's not good business practice not to make it as easy as possible for your customers to give you money... Either there is a motivation for this, or Cortese is a clutz.
  17. That's nothing to the human cost for the rest of us...
  18. Oh, have they banned saving now then? Christ the sooner they offer financial planning on the national curriculum the sooner this country will be out of the sh..
  19. Really? He could live in Switzerland tax free but he chooses to live in the most over-taxed, under-serviced third world country in all but name? Feck and I thought we has an intelligent Chairman... help!!!!!
  20. Chill out, get a life, earn some interest on your money... FFS!!!!
  21. I can see Swindon falling apart next season, it often happens with teams who miss out the way they did, with a shocking miss. We will have the firepower to decimate this league. It will not be easy, but if we don't go up, Pardew should be ashamed.
  22. I think the worst decision was the selection of David Batty. How can Batty change a game? And then he goes onto miss a penalty - which Le Tissier would probably have scored...
  23. We used to have Brett Ormerod... well done Bretty enjoy another stint at the top table son.
  24. Number 2 looks right, not sure about the font of 125 but at least it's a football not a bloody bingo ball or over-inflated snooker ball!
