My grandparents had a local post office, so don't get me wrong. This is an organisation I feel passionately for and about. But some serious thinking is required from BOTH sides about how to meet the digital era. And striking ain't the answer. Striking should be used only where there is a genuine grievance about mismanagement - such as in the case of workplace bullying, impoverished working conditions, etc. What's happened here is that two sides simply can't reach an agreement. So, why not sit the f u c k down and discuss what NEEDS to be done? Put the numbers on the table and ask the workers/management/unions what the best approach would be. Oh, and then ask the customers if they agree... Cos at the moment, we have so many alternatives it's laughable.

The man who knows the pain of defeat knows the elation of victory. He who doesn't is in for a nasty shock... Be good to see some of the big boys fail spectacularly this year to remind them that success is a fickle mistress.

It's not frustrating. I just think it's the difference between people who appreciate success and those who expect it. I pity those who can't appreciate that highs require lows to have any meaning.

McMenemy - one of the UK's best managers?
Legod Third Coming replied to Daren W's topic in The Saints
Only one name on that list is a great manager. Head and shoulders above the rest. And probably, alongside Paisley, Shankly, Busby and maybe Fergie, the last of the genuinely great managers. -
I love the world cup theme from Argentina 78. If anyone can tell me what it is, I will be very grateful. It was piano based and went kinda ding didy ding ding ding ding ding didy ding ding ding ding, ding diddy ding ding ding ding ding...

I thought we played better in that game than against Gillingham, but then I don't buy this 'turned the corner' stuff. To me, we have been getting better in stages since day one of the season as a very astute manager has been sussing out his squad/team and working out who could play and who couldn't and where those who could play were best suited. It really, really p!55es me off when people talk about starting the season badly, as though there was any alternative to the first ten games of the season. As though somehow our manager was supposed to arrive and wave a magic wand with a bunch of players who clearly weren't up to the job. What's happened is that we are now reaping the reward of hard work and having to take a pre-season during the season!! But then, when we have so many immature fans, not surprising that they are also premature is it!

Great, great pictures. Total respect to fans who travel that way every other week. I wish I wasn't so far over my leasing mileage allowance!!!!

Don't want to start a political debate, but to srike given the current predicament facing the postal service in this country is ridiculous. Tomorrow, my business will start using an alternative delivery service. I would love to go back to the postal service. Any postmen out there like to explain why I should bother?? Of course, their union boss could. Tell me, where is his five bedroom mansion...

Some of our fans are postal workers... at least by the law of averages.

You wait, half a dozen more wins and I won't be able to get a ticket!

Good work friend. I think we could cane them - no arrogance, no expectancy. But we have a superb team now, far superior to MK Dons, and we need to make it show. We have looked untroubled in the last three games, scoring and missing at will. To improve, we must bury the chances we are creating and remain tight at the back, ideally tighter. An early goal would really set up this game. I can't wait.

It is imperative that WE, the crowd, take confidence into this game. A rousing reception, a strong and loud presence from the off and MK Dons won't know what's hit them. Never mind how they have been playing and their recent results, they simply haven't played a class side like us yet. No more the mousey losers, we are now lions on the prowl. Don't bottle it from the stands!

Just watched it via the red button and the whole show needs a rethink. The BBC seem to have given up on employing people who can present. Des Lynham and Steve Ryder are the last two presenters with any genuine skill and charisma to speak of. They're now employing lightweight muppets to fund Jonathan Ross and his 18m... Even Lineker is actually not very good as a presenter - he is stilted and doesn't have enough inflection in his voice. Why not interview and recruit for genuinely good presenters? It's not like there aren't 3million unemployed. And stop promoting people from Blue fecking Peter and Jackanory!!!

Let no one think this has not been coming. We might lose next Saturday, but what you are seeing here is evidence of this: The only place you find success before work is the dictionary. We have been getting better since day one of the season, and there has to be more to come.

Cobblers. We played better in that game than against Gillingham. We've been improving all season but the miserable naysayers wanted to prove different.
