To be fair, finishing second to Liverpool by three points, having lost Stevie Moran to injury was as good as winning the league. Liverpool were unstoppable and we were one win from winning the football league as a provincial club from the south coast... It would have been one hell of an achievement and I count that season as my best ever supporting Saints. Possibly until now!
