  1. Seriously how the hell can he score.
  2. WTF!!!! Nguessan is sh ite!!!!
  3. Evidenced in the last minute when we should have shot. Our final ball is poor at the moment - it's the same choice to the back post every time. We need to mix it up and just occassionally drill it in low and hard - it could go in off anyone! We're a bit like Arsenal - intent on creating the perfect goal rather than realising that just sometimes you can get lucky!
  4. Christ if we're counting those as efforts on goal, let's also include Kelvin's goal kicks!!
  5. Where the hell do stats come from that show we had a shot on goal??? Myhill need not have been playing.
  6. Look, if we're into handbags on the internet, the least you could do is spell Wurly correctly FFS!!!!
  7. I'm preparing a nice side salad for lunch and the colander I'm using to drip dry my iceberg lettuce has fewer holes than your argument...
  8. I think often the reason we see sideways and backwards balls is because there is simply nothing on going foward. With Fonte back I hope we'll see the ball carried forward more and this should help Morgan because it will create the space that's been lacking in recent games. Against Cardiff I thought (apart from the odd telegprahed ball) Morgan played well, we (through him and Cork) got the ball out wide but currently our fullbacks wouldn't be safe to cross a pelican crossing... And as for their corners. Argghh!!!
  9. The good news for me from the game was our confidence. It seems to be back and in horrific conditions our control and passing were top drawer. Give us a back a green playing surface and I#m sure we'll be back to our best.
  10. Myhill needn't have been in goal. Not a single effort penetrated the six yard box.
  11. That's just not true. Morgan is one of the few players who spreads play and can hit a forty yard ball onto someone's foot. His problem in the last few games has been having no one in space to hit! Teams are pressuring us high up the pitch having worked out how we move the ball from and through midfield. Yesterday, in the conditions, our control was superb but our final ball (Cork most guilty, then both full backs) was very, very poor. It was minus 2, the ball was bouncing and rolling/not rolling and not bouncing, but for all our posession no shots on goal - mental!
  12. 100% - everything is overhit floaty bo llox at the moment.
  13. He swung his leg and it went in. That's the trouble with football - a useless hod carrier can score the odd gem!
  14. Jesus that is how bad Millwall are...
  15. Their number 6 is one of the worst players I have seen ever! Makes Terry Hurlock look like Pele!
  16. Agreed. He is simply not in the form of the start of the season. Anonymous in the second half against Cardiff.
  17. This could explain why our full-backs are struggling to get in behind theirs!
  18. Bizarre. Last night I dreamed that I came home Saturday morning and my missus was there in all the gear, the kids had been packed off for the day and she'd invited around another mum from school (fit as feck) and said 'we're yours, start where you like, do what you want, no questions, no arguments and afterwards we'll clean up while you go down the pub to watch the Birmingham game'. Great to know that when this does happen, you'll come on to set up the winning goal!
  19. As someone who sits at the top of the Chapel, the ref had a great view of all three. He only gave the third because he realised from crowd reaction he got the second one badly wrong... You could see him thinking afterwards that he might have got the decision wrong and then the minute the ball hits the defender's hand he blows... couldn't wait to, in fact. I'm not sure how I know this but you'll have to trust me. I've been working in sales and marketing for years with people who specliaise in NLP and body language and sometimes you can just 'know' what's going through someone's mind. That's why I think the first one is nailed on - because our least demonstrative player goes beserk, smashing his hands on the ground. I reckon Rickie had done him, turned him inside out and pulling him down was the only option... But then I am a Saints fan.
  20. All I would say is watch Rickie's reaction. He is the least demonstrative player in the side and he goes mental... that's good enough for me! Wrestled to the ground. When it happened in the centre circle a free kick was given instantly. And if it's a foul there it's a foul everywhere!
  21. If we score first, we'll win - because the confidence in our side after a goal is a joy to behold.
  22. Bottle full which travels towards the pitch and most likely misses, or one which arcs (assuming no centrifugal forces) towards the pitch showering dozens of fans with coke... and then misses the target. No brainer!
  23. While I'm not a fan of them, it was in fact a brilliant professional foul as Cardiff were away with half our defence in their half...
  24. Central midfield was not an issue per se last night, but the formation was. It wasn't a change in personnel that brought about massive improvement but a change in tactics and sorting out the midfield by matching up Cardiff who, to be fair, also ran out of steam and fitness in the second half. Had our fullbacks any clue as to how to cross, we could easily have won that game 4-1... although captain t w a t in the middle would have ruled at least two of them out for being scored while the tide was in...
